What happened to fighting your way through a strike? Everyone seems to rush past the enemy and straight to the boss, what's the point? If you're in a Strike list, you clearly enjoy playing for a while so why rush to the end?
It pisses me off when 2 guardians abandon the 3rd to reach the boss first as if it makes them better at the game or they think they'll get better drops?
Rant over.
I've played since alpha stage. I'm not new to the game. I've played more strikes than you.
I should have known better than to post my annoyance here to trolls to masturbate to

I'm from alpha too you elitist and just have to say I rush through because I don't care for the fight, I want the potential loot

It is a race when all you care about are those two blues lol
-
It is a race... To finish faster and get to other things. Why do you enjoy killing stuff that doesn't need to be killed?
-
The only reason I run strikes is for 3oC chance or the strike specific gear. Both of those only come from the boss. So I want to down the boss as fast as possible so I can move on to the next thing.
-
I don't revive strike rushers... They are the ones that die a lot at the boss battle and i simply crouch next to their Orb and mind my own business.

Boss Rewards

I'm gonna use the same excuse I use whenever this topic's brought up; I used to speedrun games when I was younger (not very well but I still did it) so it's sorta natural to me.
-
1 ReplyYou haven't played more strikes than me, I run through because there is no point in fighting, I don't need exp because I'm level 40 and I don't care for motes, RNG is so shit that I won't get anyone of use to me from the drops the enemies may or may not give. However the boss gives guaranteed loot that could be a unique item, unlike the crap I would get if I walked through it. I payed for the game and should be able to play how I like.

3 RepliesYea, but why male models?
-
1 ReplyI kill everythin. As quickly and recklessly as I can. Gotta get them engrams for weapon parts
-
What is this "alpha" "stage" you speak of???
-
1 ReplyIt's all about who gets there first
-
What are you, a grandpa?
-
Its the grind man. After a while people dont wanna play the same mission 12x a week.
-
What is the point of any mission? Kill the boss Not kill every ad between the start and finish Since you have to do 5 strikes in a row to get good gear then speed is the issue
-
People speed run to complete strikes faster and get more done for strike loot
-
Ummmm, more loot per second (LPS) for speedruns. Stop staying behind.
-
That's what people in last place say. Of course it's a race.
-
3 RepliesAgreed, speedrun the strike, you miss out on glimmer and chances for loot, a LOT of it
-
Eps Engrams per second

If I want strike specific loot and I don't won't to do do strikes forever I'll rush through them.
-
I try to make sure all members are clear before leaving. I used to kill everything, but that grind gets old.
