Should I buy an Alienware 17 to play Runescape?
Should I buy a middle teir Alienware 17 so I can play Runescape?

Just stay away from pc. I used to be all "pc masterrace 4 lyfe" until i realized that it was a huge waste of money. Especially now with gaming systems sporting amazing specs. Ps4 is 400 brand new. To get a gaming machine with similar capabilities youre spending at least a stack. If its a laptop, youre looking at like fifteen hundred bucks.

1 ReplyTo play Runescape? Runescape is an easy game to run you dont need an overpriced alienware. Its much cheaper to make your own which isnt too difficult. YouTube has tutorials which show exactly what to do.

8 RepliesBUILD YOUR OWN! For the love of God save yourself a lot of money and just build your own. It's CRAZY easy to build your own machine. Trust me man I've built quite a few computers and you can save a ton of cash doing it yourself. Newegg.com is your friend.

That's nowhere near powerful enough. You're going to need a desktop with Tri-SLI TitanXs to even get acceptable FPS. Keep saving. PC master race is not for the impoverished.

Think ya need a Titan video card to get the best of it. RuneScape is pretty taxing, and at least 16gb ram

3 RepliesA $700 build should suffice just fine... if you shop around, and bargain hunt, $500. if you have a microcenter nearby, you can get some really good cpu deals... The other parts are typically pricier, but best deals on cpu by far. It's important not to over build much more than you need, otherwise you are just throwing money away. A good motherboard/cpu combo will outlast 2-3 video cards, and vid cards prices drop much faster. Spend money on psu/mobo/cup... They last the longest.

Alienware is overpriced and underpowered you better off doing your own research and building a pc from scratch. Last kit I built years ago I built a pc with nearly the exact same parts as the top of the line alienware pc. (Of course the case was different and I had a couple of upgrades) but long story short it cost me about 1200 bucks less to build one over buy one. You spend 1200 for the box and brand symbole . And I guess the convenience of having one Warrenton company. When somthing breaks in a custom build you have to go through the individual manufacturer. Lastly I can play runescape on my phone why would you spend soo much on a fast px to play such a low resource game.

Runescape runs fine with regular base PC specs. I can run RS on my 2gb laptop that's 5 ish years old so you should be good
