I did normal today and got freaking shards all the way through (well and a 290 the last word?!) Looking forwards to tomorrow, with my touch of malice.

Touch of malace has its purpose u will be a moron if u have it and don't use that or the black spindle. Touch does beast damage in the aura and the spindle is......well......its the spindle....optimal DPS and never have to reload...if u had the malace u would understand.I mean I don't know if u do or not..even with one malace oryx flinches quick AF .u tell me why wouldn't anybody want that gun when there try to beat a beautiful but annoying ass raid that might or might not give u any loot lol..im just saying

I actually don't like using malice for the raid. I find its safer and easier to do ogres without it, and I dps daughters and oryx just fine with heavy and spindle. It may be more nessacary in hard mode if staggering oryx is really difficult though.

ToM does stagger Oryx faster and kill daughters faster if the majority of the party own it. However, to require ToM to play the raid is absurd. People who do that themselves are total losers and this would be the reason why they can't find a raid team to begin with in the first place. All you need to beat the raid is a team who listens with decent light, no specific weapon is necessary.

4 RepliesLol, I'm pretty sure those clowns without ToM are the scrubs. It's not even RNG anymore. You spend a day or two collecting fragments, doing some quests, run the raid, and you get the gun. So, either you never ran the normal raid, or you are incredibly lazy. I would not want either of those people in my Fireteam.

why would it be nerfed, the touch of malice is only pretty much op within the aura and theres only 2 stages with the aura so i doubt its gona get nerfed. and those elitist will probably require tom for the last 2 parts cuz who wouldn't want to do it in an hour rather than 2.

I've gotten past the War Priest (Right, mid, left, fire everything i think). My team went offline after that

Normal was able to be done without it, Surely hard mode could be done without it also, Requiring ToM will make the raid easier, Let's be serious why get people in without a touch when you can get people in with it? Not everyone needs to have it just 4 out of 6 but if you don't already have the touch your a scrub ( Yes I know you have it ), People have a RIGHT to require what they want in there raid they payed for the game there putting together a team to spend countless hours doing it, It's there choice who and what they want in their fireteam, Why you ranting about it? You lack attention at home or something? Get over it.

I don't know if it'll be useful on hard mode or not (invulnerable shield might not be around for hard mode). But don't sit there and lie by pretending you actually believe snipers and lmgs work better for staggering oryx (if you have actually never even used it then your "opinion" that it is not as good as the aforementioned weapons at staggering him, you are uninformed). With even three ToM on a raid he is staggered almost instantly. One ToM can make up for a lower light level person in the group. It is absolutely the best gun in the game for staggering oryx on normal difficulty. Period. And for me, it allows me to save my sniper and heavy ammo for taking out ogres/shadow of oryx without having to worry about running low on ammo. It also has the highest dps potential in the game with the invulnerability shield. People with ToM always do higher dps than anyone that doesn't have it on the sisters, and normally the numbers aren't even close. No, it's not necessary. I don't even know that it's going to be useful in hard mode at all. But it is without a doubt the best gun you can use right now to stagger oryx. No doubt.

The amount of holes in your post is ridiculous...but besides that, the touch of malice has its place. The daughters and Oryx. The daughters go down easy with it as you have no reload time and the double damage. While in the aura it allows you to also wipe any adds outside the aura easily before it expires. Having the touch equipped for Oryx allows you to save all your special and heavy for the ogre's and the echo along with any serious add control. While Oryx is going through his motions, use the touch and wipe the add's out before turning to Oryx to stagger while in the aura. If you use all your special on Oryx you have no special left for the Ogre's and if you use your heavy on Ogre's you have no heavy for the echo. And this is only going to get more challenging in Hard mode. Getting the touch is one task, actually learning how to use it has been the biggest challenge I've seen with the teams I've played with. It's a great, yet very specific gun. I won't require it for everyone I run with, but we best have 4 or 5. Teaching and carrying can be saved for easy mode, but once I'm in hard mode. I have no time for the inexperienced or the ones that can't contribute.

They say "it is faster". In the Aura, i agree, but only in the Aura. The sisters, excellent, Oryx, meh...50/50 cause there is other stuff to shoot when your not in an Aura but i dont run out of ammo DPS'ing Oryx. It is just their way to exclude others, i went and got my second to use for infusing...
