Black spindle mission is the perfect summary of how lazy bungie is!
Reskins......reskins everywhere. Just hear me out before crying too much.
You begin by thinking that you are starting a new mission. When really you're just running a mission from tdb.....seriously you are literally just doin the same mission where you kill crotas soul what ever the fuk you were doing. This time though it's totally different, youre just getting a piece of stone........that was underneath the crystal........that you destroyed.
So from there you haul ass back the direction you came from! Which desticles will say "wow bungie made us run the same mission forward and THEN made us run it backwards! Totally different"
It is here we start to run into the recycled crap bungie calls a new enemy. You know the new enemy we wont have to deal with any more of this expansion.....
But we take a small turn and head to the next part of the mission. The "secret part" of this mission, you guessed it MORE recycled content!
You make your way in the taniks strike from HoW. Yes! We are now running a recyled strike WITHIN the recycled mission we started with!!!!! Idiots please re-read that!! And you guessed right again its filled with the "new enemy" the taken.... So you have to move quickly to beat the timer. Basically you are just running the taniks strike with taken enemies.......actually thats all youre doing......
You get to the end and well....would you look at that its taniks.......reskinned! SHOCKER!
The room is filled with psions, captains, and a couple cabal........oops i mean "the taken".
Mission kill him and clear the room of all enemies.
Why? Dont ask why guardian! Just stay on task!!!

Any ways after fighting all the way through this sugar coated turd and beating tani.......i mean a taken guy.... You get the "black spindle"! An exotic reskin of the black hammer! You know that gun that we all wanted to carry over to year 2 but bungie said no because we needed to move on. But they decided to nerf it and we couldnt figure out why. Yep they took it renamed it then made it exotic so we couldnt use with any other exotics like we did black hammer!
Best part in order to play this recycled heap of shit you have to wait till its the daily heroic! More artificial longevity like we asked for! Yayayay!
Also it ALREADY GOT NERFED i mean for fuk sake......you desties probably wont read this far down but if you do please stop ruining this game by being doormats for bungie to walk on.
Tl;dr you are running a reskinned strike inside of a reskinned story mission against reskinned enemies for a reskinned gun because you refuse to hold bungie to a higher standard.

Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean maybe if they kept the old perks the same aka infinite critical shots it might've been worthy but not this one

This is honestly not that good of an example. Yes, they are making you re-run maps you have already ran through, but just keep an open mind to what im about to say: The story roughly says, oryx is taking the will of others, the hive (who already gave their will to him) cabal, fallen, vex etc everyone he can. His taken armies have come into Taniks' ship and are taking control of it, so the fallen send out a distress beacon to whoever is close enough to respond (hence when your ghost says 'weird, im picking up a fallen distress beacon') You are basically saving the fallen, although they are already dead, you still are helping them when you are also helping yourself. So, although you may think that this mission is just a giant reskin (which is partially true, as itd be weird if it was in the Taniks strike but it looked entirely different) its really not, its a fairly well thought out 'add on mission' to give you a great gun. Not everything in destiny needs to be new, so long as there is lore/story behind the mission that is fairly easily accessible, it will still be interesting, or at least it is to me

Taken enemies are just fine, if you cant see why they were included maybe play something more suited to your mental capacity like oh I don't know, pong? BlackSpindle didn't get nerfed you braindead. It had the attack value lowered from 310 when it drops to the normal 280 like it should have always been. Still exactly the same gun.

That would be the same enemy with a different clut or "skin" (in 3D), which has identical abilities to the original version. The taken are altered models with new animations, attacks and AI. Yes they use the same basic models as the original enemies, but it wasn't just a case of slapping the taken skin on them and upping their HP. In the case of the Spindle itself, totally a reskin and an exotic to take up a slot. I'll give you that. The mission. It is a reused area with new enemies, narration and scripted encounters. Yeah, it's a little hammy to reuse the same zone again, but I can live with it since they actually made the mechanics different. The strike area feels cheap... At least with the missions that take you back into VoG or something, it's a place we don't see 10 times a day if we are grinding strikes. Holding Bungie to a higher standard? I can half agree there... But we are still in the first iteration of the game. We have gotten many new areas, but the existing assets are all on our HD and are fair game for new encounters (so long as the fights/mechanics are different). I do agree though, the "Taken War" quests got a little log in the tooth. As for the time gated/daily gated content. I'm actually not surprised, it's a tactic I've seen in WoW since 2.0. It wouldn't surprise me if Activision was getting Blizzard to share design notes with Bungie. Anyway, you'll dismiss anything positive about Bungie as you're a Bdobbins fan.

I get what you're saying and yes we are playing in the same areas. But as for the reskinned enemies that's exactly what they're supposed to be they're taken. He takes a hive knight puts it under his control and the sends it back as a taken knight. But seriously it's a game and I find it a fun way to chill when I'm not at work and the misses is out. You obviously don't find it fun or enjoyable so why don't to sell it and do something you do enjoy?
