Class Exotic Weapons are not balanced

I don't know if anyone had a chance to try them all yet, but I used Tlaloc and Ace of Spades on friend's account and Fabian Strategy on my own. To get to the point: there is a huge difference in effectiveness in these weapons in PvE and PvP. I would call Ace of Spades easily the best out of the three. It is a strictly better Hawkmoon in PvE and rivals Hawkmoon in PvP; where we can all agree Hawkmoon is a fantastic weapon. Tlaloc is also pretty good. It handles well, performs well and synergizes well with some of the Warlock abilities. Then, there is Fabian Strategy. Complete garbage in PvP. It is outmatched by both Suros REGIME, Hard Light and Monte Carlo in TTK, making it a very bad choice. You have to engage first and even then you only win if they don't retaliate quickly. In PvE it can kill some things, but so can any weapon. It kills half of the adds that you can kill with Ace of Spades in the same time. I don't think I ever had Life Support proc more than once. Crowd Control is nice, but also necessary as the weapon does minimal damage. I haven't found any way to have this weapon's perks synergize with the Titan at all... Why is it the Titan specific weapon and not just a random Exotic? Or Legendary for that matter. It just isn't that good. Frontlines just doesn't do anything in the majority of situations and when it actually procs, it isn't that useful to begin with. It just feels like you would use it for Life Support and large magazine size, but it does so much less damage that the latter doesn't matter; at which point it is just a strictly worse REGIME considering the former. It needs a damage buff in PvE at the very least and a perk that makes it Titan specific.

Both the Titan exclusives are bad. The legendary shotgun is Defender specific, and the Fabian strategy is just an ok auto rifle. The other class legendaries are subclass neutral, and their exotics are near or at the top of their weapon class.

  • I haven't gotten the hunters or warlocks guns yet. I do however like my fabian strategy. Ive been prettty effective with it most of the time. Just depends on the map.

  • I would also argue that Tlaloc is not that great. It encourages you not to use your super, but supers are cool and we should be encouraged to use them. It would be a lot better if it encouraged you to use your super in a smart manner. It should keep everything it has but with the addition of: Double kills with super will maintain the buff.

    • The thing about Fabian Strategy, is that it does virtually nothing in terms of its Exotic Perk. The RoF increase is virtually non-existent.

After looking at the weapon, yeah, I'm not fond of Life Support, on this or any other weapon. It never seems to activate for me. A "chance" to regenerate health if getting a kill while critically wounded just isn't worth a perk node, in my opinion. Not unless it's like Red Death and guaranteed, but then we have Year Two Red Death so that would be pointless. While I understand that that they probably didn't want to make a class-restricted exotic too powerful - there's enough pointless griping over whether this or that class is "op" - Life Support is just a wasted node on anything, especially an exotic. Anyway, I try to avoid being critically wounded as a general rule. It would have been nicer if it had a perk that, say, increases impact and range while critically wounded. That would give it more of an "adrenaline rush" feel and make it just as probable that I might just survive the encounter as having a "chance" to recover. But perks that always activate always feel better.

      • You need to have a certain play style to use Fabian strategy effectively
