So many people boosting, I'm guessing for rumble wins, to get fake high stats, for all the medals and for sword kills or for last word kills and other crucible quests and bounties. Hard to win a match when there is a team with one guy constantly getting kills on team mates. Hope these
Boosters all get perma banned.
Wow literally 50% of replies so far have no idea what boosting is. Here is a link http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Boosting
To those that say blame Bungie. I get you. I blame them for making a last word quest when we are sick of last word.
But
Grow up man.
Don't blame the people who are so bad at the game but so self entitled they think they deserve the prize at all costs no matter how much they choose to cheat to get it and ruin matches for everyone else?
It's not their fault?
They don't have responsibility for their actions Bungie do?
They paid for the game so they are automatically entitled to win it?
Even if it means shitting all over the game and everyone else trying to play it legit?
Take some responsibility for your actions, don't pretend you are a mindless Bungie controlled automaton.
Boosting = cheating
Lag switching = cheating
The link says Bungie has restricted, banned and wiped stats for boosters before doesn't it?
It's your own choice and yours alone buddy. Buying a game means you get to play it. It doesn't make you king of the world or exempt from being called out on Cheating.
Lol.
Edit:- definition of boosting for lazy scrubs that can't click a link let alone win a match or complete a pvp bounty legit
"Boosting is using illegitimate means in online multiplayer to receive tons of easy XP, effortless killstreaks, or to increase your level quickly. It usually involves colluding with at least one other person or a group of people who are all helping you."
Taken from this http://www.examiner.com/article/how-cheaters-cheat-boosting
As good a definition as any. Pre Destiny though.
Some very special people have made the excuse that they aren't good at pvp so can't complete the quest without cheating.
If you can't complete the quest without cheating then you can't complete the quest. End of.
But it's Bungies fault, they say, for making quests in pvp!
Of course, those quests are for people that like to play pvp. Unless you plan on getting good enough to do the pvp part, then you can't finish the quest!
I would've though that was self evident!
Why have a quest with a pvp part if it wasn't supposed to be a challange for those that like a bit if pvp?
But then I won't get a shotgun! They say.
And what?
You don't like Pvp and don't plan on getting good enough to do the quest then don't do the quest. Don't go ahead and choose to cheat anyway!
I was forced to cheat by Bungie they say
Lame excuses like i had no choice come out over and over and over again
'No choice' ?
lol you must have something inbetween those ears of yours. No matter how small...and evidently malfunctioning it may be...surely there was some spark still going off in there? I mean you would've stopped breathing otherwise right? It must've had some capacity to make decisions? Otherwise how did you choose to play Destiny? To read and write on forums?
To not piss yourself?
The decision you chose was to cheat.
You had a choice but you chose to cheat.
For that, I blame you, not Bungie.

Almost every other game is some guy boosting in rumble its annoying
-
Guys take it easy....the real boosting isn't started yet...... Check the quest line for the "First Curse" handcanon
-
Played against a whole team of boosters in rumble, they only got their ass handed to them:P I then sent them a very rude message telling them not even a full team makes them good enough to win a game.:D
-
Will any of these players get banned? Or does Bungie not care that some players are cheating their way to finish quests.
-
1 ReplyI'm sorry, but until Bungie fixes their crappy pvp I will care about people boosting. Me getting killed by someones fist after they die to my shotgun to their face, still getting hit by a bullet from 50 yards away even after ducking behind a wall? These are just 2 craptastic reasons pvp in destiny sucks. The fact that just about half the quests in the game not only have you run pvp they make you so it in a way you don't want to makes crap like boosting happen. Yes, I'm talking to you striker pvp class quest chain..... Also to use the argument about if you don't like pvp you don't have to play, if you don't like people boosting in rumble don't play......

21 RepliesIt's about time someone called these Scrublords out on their bullshit. It's sad really. The Chaperone is designed for use in PvP, yet the PvE crowd thinks they need it for some reason. It's not any better than a regular shotgun, I promise. If you don't like PvP, then don't play it. If you can't legitimately complete a PvP bounty or Quest, then you don't deserve the weapon in the first place. The object of the Quest step is to gain renown in the Crucible, not boost your way through Rumble with the help of your shitty teammates. Not only are you ruining everyone else's experience, you're making a mockery of those players that put serious effort into earning their weapon. If it's too hard, you need to get better. Play a different Game mode. 3v3 modes make it easier to manage the number of deaths you experience per game. Salvage in particular worked well for me. Use your Secondary and Heavy weapons when/where you can to get multi-kills and streaks. Those will provide the biggest % gain on your Quest. Ultimately, if you don't like the Crucible, just stay out of it. Don't infringe upon the experience of others just to collect a weapon you have no intention of seriously using anyway.

People boost in real life all the time
-
Rumble should be a solo only playlist. Lone wolf only. Party's not included.
-
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Lagswitching, cheating. Otherwise, piss off. I don't care if someone kills another dude a thousand times in rumble. Too bad that you do pal. It's rumble. Go try hard and cry hard in another match.
-
If there was a PvE option instead, then a lot of people wouldn't boost in PvP. I'm not bad at PvP, but I hate playing it. I think every exotic quest except for ToM requires you to play PvP, which isn't very popular and seems to be getting less and less popular. It takes forever to find a match at times.
-
That was a whoooolllle lot of waaahing I did not read. Cry harder scrub.
-
1 ReplyAnd how does this effect you in a negative way? Now more people are getting better equipment to help you with raids and strikes
-
4 RepliesWhat I do when I get a quest... 1. Read the objective 2. Determine fastest way to achieve the objective 3. Achieve objective How am I wrong?
-
Who cares? Doesn't affect you
-
Boosted my last 4 sword kills because I was sick of trading or not getting a kill because of lag.
-
No one cares quit whinning. Nobody's gonna give up getting their exotic sword because your crying. You don't like it? Quit.
-
Lol they do that? My 3 swords and chaperone are badges of honor I earned every shot and swing.

Edited by Luckyharps: 10/5/2015 6:04:26 PMYou should complain that bungie ruined your playing experience because they gave that one dude the fate of all fools. Bungie BOOSTED a player who had a disadvantage. Boo effing hoo. By your "get gud" rational you're now encouraging players to endure brain surgery so they too can get the fate off all fools. While I agree it's not cool to have an effect on strangers game play, what if it's a full rumble match of players that all know each other and are helping one another out? They all have agreed and nobody is being negatively effected. If anything, Id say that it's commendable that a group of players would take the time to devise and execute a strategy that can in the end benefit all who are involved. It's called teamwork. Bungie wanted to encourage a sense of community. I think this has done just that. If your tears are because 2-3 players in your rumble match are trying to help each other out, perhaps you are not realizing that those players are sitting ducks. Those are easy kills. Much like an AFKer, gun'em down and move on. Those are free kills.
-
I see that your a die hard pvp guy with honor. I have respect for you, but if you're allowed to bring in a fireteam into rumble, boosting will always be possible. It's a quick way to get the quests done. It's a quick way to move onto other things instead of spending all day on one quest when you can complete it in 2-3 matches. I predict that boosting will mellow out as time goes on because the major quests will fade.
-
Boosting happens when you force people to do what they don't want to do. Force me to play crucible, and i will find the easiest way possible. Force me into raids, and i will find a strong team to carry me. Step 3 of the jolly Roger quest let's you kill pve majors OR guardians in crucible. If every quest gave you that option, you would find a lot less Boosting in this game.
-
There's only 2 ways to really fix this. 1. Stop allowing teams to go into the match. (It's kinda funny that Bungie allows this in a MP shooter...but then again they don't allow private matches). 2. Stop creating quest that you get in PVE that have PVP requirements (this has been an complaint since vanilla Destiny, but yet they still do it).
-
Who cares lol just a quick way to get rid of all the crucible quest! :D if you dont like it, dont play it. No reason i should have to play PvP if i dont want to, to earn something from that quest. It dosent make since in the first place that crucible has quest. My internet is shit, idont really give a shit because i dont care for crucible. So take advantage people, if they didnt like it they would stop fireteams from entering BUT THEY DONT. (Because its fair!!!!)

1 ReplyGuess it's the PvE players way of taking revenge on the PvP players who cry nerf to everything ;o)
-
32 RepliesI'm honestly in disbelief that people are actually in here defending boosting.... Boosting in rumble makes rumble a bad playlist. You're ruining the lobby for everyone else.

I am rumble boosting.
