No matter how awesome the exotic perk, any legendary primary with elemental damage will trump an exotic of the same weapon type, especially in a nightfall type situation. I suggest making it so exotic primaries deal bonus damage to any enemy shields. Many have suggested that exotics could just have elemental damage of their own. But regardless, the true exotics to be coveted are the legendaries that can actually damage enemies with stronger shields. Don't forget about practicality Bungie.

Edited by FreakingElite09: 9/22/2015 11:39:00 AMEdit: A lotta people are bringing up Supercell. Cool. It has elemental damage. So you're kinda arguing for me, even though some think you're trolling me by bringing it up (which makes it even more funny). Yea. Just FYI. It and mythoclast are the exception that proves the rule. Thanks for your comments.

1 ReplySomeone doesn't have the beastly Zhalo Supercell
-
2 RepliesEverybody knows this already. That's why you can ONLY get them in the raid or raid equivalent POE. Raid weapons are by far the best for pve. And fatebringer is the best primary in the game.
-
2 RepliesHave you tried the Supercell?
-
4 Repliesthat's cause exotic weps are only for crucible, pve requires burns and the only current wep worth using that is an exotic primary in pve is red death
-
3 RepliesIt really only matters in Nightfall. Been here since day one and I only have 3 elemental primaries. Not that big of a deal.
-
Yes please. Exotic primaries have been useless since the first raid in pve

3 RepliesFor PvE at least yeah. Makes you wonder why the last DLC had elemental weapons drop in PvP instead of PvE. At least this time around we won't have the same problem-Oh wait I forgot, we have a new damage type called Will of Light in the new Raid... Hopefully the attack rating more then makes up for that.

4 RepliesIMO, the elemental legendaries ARE the exotics.
-
2 RepliesI sure hope they give us new primaries with elemental damage. Otherwise, my Word of Crota might still be my go-to gun, power reduction or not. That thing is perfect for minotaur-shredding.

Bump.
