And end game is the most annoying, because this game is only halfway through

2 RepliesYou've never heard of vanilla?! That is my second favorite flavor of ice cream! XD

1 ReplyWhy even debate about what kind of genre and the terms? Destiny is an MMO and an RPG they have a lot of the aspects that are similar to both, I've played a lot of MMOs and they all have raids, weekly caps, dungeons, open world where you can meet other random players, (not completely open world) and not to mention how much time you spend on this game if you actually like it, (have you played an MMO? They are incredibly addictive). The point is it has plenty of MMO elements and can fairly called that and I'm not going to explain why it's similar. It is an MMO RPG shooter that's the best description of it. If you disagree go play an MMO like world of Warcraft. Also any typos I apologize but don't care about your opinion on them. Also those of you that call this an FPS shooter please stop trying to label games since you don't even know what an FPS is if you label this game an FPS shooter.

Edited by DarthBrando: 8/15/2015 9:21:18 PMHmm so you NEVER played WOW, KTOR, DC Universe, Matrix Online, Star Wars Galaxies, or 90% of ANY game with DLC added to it or a planned shelf life? Also they have said they will support all THREE games in destiny trilogy with DLC for TEN YEARS (EACH)

1 ReplyEdited by SwankyButters: 8/15/2015 12:31:00 AMI agree, I don't like PvP or PvE either... It's Campaign and Multiplayer. Even MMO doesn't fit, cause it isn't one.

1 ReplyNew to gaming? These terms have been around forever. well I used to do a lot of pc gaming. That's where most of the slang comes from. Nothing new.

I first heard "end game" back when I played Final Fantasy 11. Was a new term to me back then. Never to late to join updated lingo^^

1 ReplyEdited by Hoops: 8/14/2015 9:14:00 PMBattlefield 3 end game was released in 2013. I hate the term vanilla it makes no sense, vanilla is still a flavour. Why not just say original? One extra letter and everyone understands what you are saying.

1 ReplyVanilla has been around for a while. Just means basic. Right from ice cream I'm fairly sure. Could be wrong if it's more obscure like old spice trade shit. End game is all from the mmo's. I first started hearing it for RPGs like final fantasy to refer to the final disk. Basically the world is your playground part before the final act. Mmos the divide is more distinct due to the grind

1 ReplyIt's MMO slang

5 RepliesYou have obviously never played a popular mmo. I know this game isn't one, but uses mmo terms.

6 RepliesThey're common terms in the gaming lexicon, especially RPG/MMO type games

5 RepliesThis would show how casual you are. (No offense intended.) Many MMOs and RPGs have this system in place. Endgame is meant to be for the elite players in a community, which is why you may not have heard of it before. (This is the same reason why raids dont have matchmaking)
