Who is still easily beating skolas
I can't beat him I've still to beat him,mines and wipe . It's pissing me right off.

Thanks for all the help people.
I apologise for any posts not replied to as apparently I've used up my data quota for this month .
The responses have been very helpful.hopefully others can use this advice .
I will try him again after my holidays .
I have beaten skolas with the help of over 200 guardians,many thanks to everyone who posted tips and solid advice, not to panic was key.
Big thanks to yoman and deadeye who helped with him.😅

Have the defenders "feed" of each others bubbles to get a pretty much endless bubble cycle going and provide orbs for the hunter. Have the hunter have all invis possible on including the invis blade dancer perk. Get that hunter out there dismantling mines and if you get stuck have a titan pop a bubble over mines. Make sure you take out adds periodically. take out the first servitor, damage skolas, then switch sides and focus on adds. Once adds are down and skolas is near switch sides and take out servitor, then focus on skolas again. Basically keep moving and dont let skolas get too close. Also....rockets, rockets rockets.

Around the mines spawn, make sure there are no adds before you tirgger them and once you do trigger them instantly do add control as much as possible. Defenders help a lot. At the 2nd set of mines if you all have max rockets try burning him down before the mines spawn. If you don't think you can then just do add control again.

The closer you can cut it the more slack youll have if someone dies. Its way dofferent than the raids cuz atheon and crota are on an enrage timer, with skolas its the opposite, unlimited time and a set number of adds

Kill all ads then shoot skolas. Just takes teamwork

2 RepliesMake sure to always kill all adds before dps ing skolas this is a must. The mine part is easy make sure the person with poison and theone who has to grab is next go to the first mine the 3rd stays back for the second mine this is the person that should be firing his heavy at all adds to help you cap that mine. By this time the seconnd person has the piison and meets up with the 3rd guy at the scond mine and the first person does the heavy dps ing while goong to the 3rd mine and the other meet him there. Clear all adds and repeat fir second set of mines. After this its clearing all adds again then dps ing skolas till he dies. Best tip is go slow rotate alot from platforms and always kill all adds before dps on skolas. He sends adds out depending on his health so you are in control of adds spawning.

1 ReplyJust don't let him get too close. If he does, move your team to the other side of the map and take care of the adds that spawn. Focusing on the adds seemed to help a lot. Much less pressure that way.

1 ReplyI took too scrubs through the other day, a 12 year old and a dumb stoner, pretty easy but definitely a struggle if you have a bad team. (I had almost double the kills and half the deaths as my teammates that game)

Edited by ABubonic Ferret: 8/2/2015 3:29:45 AMWhen every someone dies or you start getting overwhelmed. Run a lap around the map and run past enemies. By the time you finish your lap the enemies will be scattered and skolas will be no where near you. And always play safe, don't hesasate to run a lap. This works for mines too. Just keep running around the exterior or the map and have someone break off when a mine appears.

The two times I have done it our team did it on our first try, it isn't hard just communication is key, make sure before mines spawn someone has just taken the taint, also if you can have a hunter go invisible or a titan with a bubble take middle mine that is best but isn't required, just makes things a bit easier.

Haven't done him in over a month, but my team and I always got it done first or second try for the most part. It's really easy. Just run circles on the outside.

It's a really easy fight if you know how to do it. If you camp out in the hallway straight to your left after beginning the encounter you can clear the adds and hit Skolas with almost no issues. The only threats are the 2 doors in the hallway that will have a few vandals come out of one and a few vandals and a captain come out of the one furthest from the entrance. Focus on them when adds spawn and you'll have no issue with the other enemies including Skolas. When the mines spawn you're going to want to make sure you pass the Taint before you make a move toward any of the mines. By having that fresh counter you don't have to worry about someone dying from the Taint during defusing the first and possibly even second mines. If you have a Titan or Hunter make sure they have their super for the mines and you won't have any issue defusing the one in the center. Once you clear mines for the last round just continue to take pot shots at Skolas and pull back each time adds begin to spawn. Focus on the enemies closest to you especially when light switch is on. Having a Titan with Saint-14 makes light switch almost not worth worrying about. Almost If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm happy to help
