The Grind is Truly Real and Unkind
First off this is not a whine fest because Im still going to continue the grind but people let me tell you how truly frustrating the grind is for, wait for it, the fricking Hopscotch Pilgrim... OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
So I must have done somewhere between 150 to 200 strikes this weekend using all three characters. I mean I got stuff, I got weapons I got armors I got things that were truly interesting but you know what I never got, yep, the fricking Hopscotch Pilgrim. I never even saw it dropped until sunday night and then I saw it drop almost back to back but NOT TO ME!!!! so here is where it is unkind, I did all those strikes just to see a buddy of mine come on and do literally 4 and he gets it on the 4th strike and he had 27 kills to my 58 and he hung back the entire time. You want to talk about scars, yes sir I have my scars. haha, but alas the grind will continue tonight. Ok vent session over for now....

1 ReplyI got one about a week ago, on a strike I was doing wrapping up some bounties. I could tell the other people on my striketeam were after it as well because once it popped up on the screen they started to melee, shoot at me, and throw grenades. Funny thing tho, I wasn't really after it when I got it. Typical RNG!

1 ReplyLol yes it is a grind. I had actually gotten it and dismantled it because I didn't realize it was going to actually be a good Pulse Rifle now I am kicking myself and haven't gotten another one yet.

3 RepliesIn in the same boat except with ash factory the only two guns I haven't got from crucible are Ash Factory and BTRD the two best crucible guns. I've gotten spare change at least 10 times now and matador and party crashed at least 5 each, but I just want ash factory.

1 ReplyHmmmm. I hope you enjoyed the strikes. Personally I have never "ground" anything in this game beyond doing end game content on 3 characters a week for a while to maximise exotic chances. The odds of getting what you want are so low, and it really does feel like you're either going to get a specific weapon or not, at any given time. That changes over time, but if I look back over however long this game has been out I have gone through very clear phases Exotic armour only (mostly apotheosis veil) TLW only Mida only Vex only Exotic bounties only Tlord only Ghorn only Those are just the few I can recall. But it is very noticeable. It's not that I don't get anything else, just 4/5 exotic drops are the same. I've noticed a similar pattern with purples but it's masked by the fact they drop more often so pattern isn't as noticeable. I'm sure that's just how RNG has worked for me. But I haven't seen a vex, TLW or Mida for months. Not that I care, have every raid / Poe / exotic and have for a while, but would be nice to see some variety rather than just the same all the time. Incidentally, my mate did two strikes back to back with me last night. He got 2 hopscotch pilgrims, one after the other. The day before he got the same but with spare change. Guess he's going though a pulse rifle stage. Oh and for a while all that dropped for him was thunderlord. It was hilarious. I personally saw him get 3 in a day. Soy advice would be, give it a week or two before continuing your grind. Mostly for sanity's sake but also because your luck might change.

1 ReplyI think it's funny how many people complained about the Thorn/Felwinters meta game and everyone having to run the same loadout, only to have the forums overrun by you lemmings chasing that one gun, because everyone is using it in their loadout.
