What do you think about the models shown in the newsletter? Also comment on anything else that struck you.
For the record, I'm liking what they're showing.
Looks like Omolon is winning.
Here are the foundries mentioned so far since I see many posts asking for them:
Hakke
Daito
Crux/Lomar
Suros
MK
Omolon
Tex-Machina
Mitternacht
Cassoid
Nadir
Jingoku
There may be more. Also keep in mind we don't know if all will be included.

6 RepliesOmolon cannon looked sharp. This might sound dumb, but in addition to looks, can these guns SOUND different from one another. I'm kind of sick to death of every single non-exotic hand cannon of the myriad different shapes and sizes all sounding exactly the same.
-
3 RepliesOnly really like Hakke weapons aesthetically, Omolon looks way too boxy and Suros looks too much like Mass Effect (plus I don't like the bright white paintjob). I like that they are changing perks and stats depending on manufacturer though.
-
2 RepliesJust imagine a Hakke sniper :0
-
1 ReplyI like the look of the Hakke pulse but omolon looks pretty good
and I used to rock hardlight back in the day
9 RepliesBngie is patching in what borderlands 2 did from the beginning. As usual this will probably be bungie's crappier version of what someone else has already done.

2 RepliesEdited by Loyalpayer: 7/24/2015 2:29:48 PMI think weapons design in destiny is pretty awful. I played borderlands 2 the other night and was blown away by the weapon designs and the more realistic recoil. Destiny guns are plain boring in comparison.

1 ReplyEdited by GraciousEel761: 7/24/2015 4:42:44 PMOmolon is the most interesting by far. Futuristic motif is one of the main selling points of the game, so it should strike a cord. Also, being energy based is cool. I definitely prefer the updated models with frames as opposed to the Omolon guns showcased at E3; they just seemed too alien. Hakke is a breathe of fresh air, a return to familiar, functionally evolved firearms like what we see as prototypical in the modern era. I really am disappointed that the "hammers, not scalpels" pulse rifle fires 4 shots instead of 3 for equal DPS, making precise, sustained fire far more important. It's almost like they didn't quite understand what that statement was supposed to convey. The real hammer of the bunch is... Suros, and they are the least appealing to me. The weapons look stylish, but that's all they have in the way of appeal. They fit the idea of "a man with a hammer sees everything as a nail". You can mix and match for whatever you need it to do. Sounds like a Hammer to me, at least in that sense. It's cool that they are putting Suros into the foundries update, but it takes away so much from Suros Regime. That was supposed to be a one of a kind weapon. Now it's a lackluster exotic that looks just like the other guns of that manufacturer. I don't like it in that respect, but the guns do look good.

Graphics mean bumpkiss.

1 ReplyThey look amazing but I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to play just like all the weapons we've already used in the past, even with the new perk systems. It's been the quiet shame of Destiny since launch, beautiful armor and weapon designs wasted on mediocre performance perks that force you to use maybe 10% of the available gear because the alternatives aren't worth it.
-
3 RepliesI found the philosophies between each foundery interesting. Also the mention of class specific weapons sounds exciting.
-
1 ReplyThat Suros auto rifle looks nice, but the Häkke weapons are beautiful.
-
6 RepliesMy Titan's gonna be rocking Hakke all day. Hammers, not scalpels.
-
Omolon hand cannon is ugly af Hakke and Suros doe
-
8 RepliesToo boxy
-
2 RepliesI want the Omolon Scout Rifle. o_o
-
1 ReplyThey look better then the reskinned crap that was delivered in vanilla & crotas end.
-
4 RepliesOmolon FTW!
-
1 ReplyKeeps getting better. I wonder what they will be doing different with the gunsmith.
-
1 ReplyLooks to be cool. Im glad they are mixing things up. This game needs to be treated as a mmo bottem line. This means give up options, variety and lots and lots and lots of stuff because its a loot driven MMO fps. But so far it looks like they have good intent and direction, however i will be wary since i thought the actual game itself was going to be amazing and well...... I dont feel the need to finish that thought.
-
2 RepliesBoring. Another reason not to get ttk.
-
1 ReplyThey look good. Nice to finally have a little aesthetic variation here.
-
2 RepliesThey look like some shit i made when i first learned how to do 3d modeling. Must be interns pushing new content out
-
2 RepliesIs every weapon "faction" gonna have 1 of each type of gun or those are it?
-
13 RepliesIm interested to say the least. Seems their going a borderlandsish approach, different weapon manifactuers have different base stats/ quirks that make the manufacuter unique to the others. All 3 choices so far sound great, cant wait to see what other manufactuers they bring, i forgot the manufacuter that made "The last word" but i am most interested in their gun models/stats.

6 RepliesI was under the impression that they were adding two new weapon types. I feel that would add more diversity to play styles then just more of the same. I was hoping to see like a beam type weapon similar to the sentinels lasers from halo. And I definitly wanted to see melee weapons. As a Titan I want to be coated in the blood of my enemies as I güt them with a giant two handed axe or something. Just my opinion
