Does Anyone use a LMG in IB?
I used to like that in IB everyone used to use LMGs because of the bounty.
Now during heavy round, everyone is using rocket launchers constantly. In 6v6 rocket launchers are superior.
I fear I will never be able to use an LMG again.

3 RepliesLMG use in Iron Banner can be very rewarding if you time the engagement right. I'll pick up heavy and then switch to a sniper to engage the enemy from range and take less risk of losing my heavy from a rocket blast. After the initial mayhem of 20 rockets going off, I'll switch to my LMG and mow down the unsuspecting team, often getting 4, 5, 6 kills which usually more than I'll get from 4 rockets. Rockets = easy kills but low potential for high kill counts. LMG = high risk, high reward for patient, tactical players.

Honestly, I have a bit of a pussy method but... I use a machine gun, but I play with my clan who normally use rocket launchers, so I hide somewhere after grabbing heavy and watch the kill feed at the bottom. My clan will communicate to me when they kill a person who had heavy, after a few die, I start coming out. Too dangerous to do so from the start, sure I can kill them but they've already fired a rocket at me :P

I always use a LMG, I can't get a 10+ kill streak with a rocket launcher like I can with the hammer with field scout so yes if your good with a LMG they are way better weapons to use.

Would love to use them, but after getting rocketed 5 heavies in a row without a single mg kill...back to truth

Just hide out for a bit and look at the kills and wait for the enemies to burn their heavy. Then go slay them. Super easy bounties

Against all odds, period. That gun is incredible.

Almost 100% of the time. I use "against all odds". Doesnt have the best perks but I like it because of the slow rate of fire and field scout. If I play it right, my ammo outlasts the rocket flurries and I can usually rack up a few more kills. Multiple times I have had my heavy ammo last me until heavy dropped again.

1 ReplyI dobt use rocket launchers. There is a bounty for machine gun sprees. All you do is wait for the rocket people to die and come and wreck with machine gun.

I know I hate it dude I can't complete the damn bounty anymore cuz grenade and horseshoe rockets wreck me before I can get like two kills with my Jolders Hammer, much less a spree.

2 RepliesI only use my B-turd or my Jolder's. It absolutely wrecks when used properly and avoiding the initial round of rocket junkies. Although not always possible to avoid. The majority of my Iron Wraths have been won while on a mega LMG spree. MACHINE LORD! Just hold back and play overwatch. I have range finder on both. So that helps lots. Gives me time to try and kill from a far enough distance that I can dodge a rocket if I need to (unless it's truth then it's going to follow me to work the next day).

Grab your LMG and hide away for about a minute and then bring it out. Usually all the rocket guys have killed each other by then.
