Does Anyone use a LMG in IB?
I used to like that in IB everyone used to use LMGs because of the bounty.
Now during heavy round, everyone is using rocket launchers constantly. In 6v6 rocket launchers are superior.
I fear I will never be able to use an LMG again.

I still use my lmg, you really just need to wait out the rockets, let your team be cannon fodder for a minute or so lol.

1 Replyyou can get way more kills with an LMG than maybe 4 rockets..so yes I ONLY use LMG

4 RepliesNo LMG's are better. Rockets give good BOOM but LMG's give long term point to point defense of Control points and can turn the tide when people survive with their heavy ammo. Pick up heavy and then sit all the way back and wait a few moments as people die or use up rockets. Then when everyone is back to using primaries or shotguns just walk in there and start wrecking. Not even Thorn users can stand up to that BTRD!

I like searching for all the lmg users with my rocket and super to screw them all over. :)

While people use rockets I just run around wrecking with jolders :)

I did for the bounty but after that nope I keep my rockets until I need them

If you camp in the back of your spawn until all the Rocket players kill each other, it's super easy to get those 3 killing sprees.

Yeah, its how I usually do the Iron Wrath 10 kills without dying bounty. LMG = 10+ kills super easy

5 RepliesIs this serious question??? Of course everyone runs lmgs! There's a bounty still you know...now after people are done with the bounty, they go back to rockets...why? You said it yourself, rockets are superior.

Like some other people said if you want to use one hang back for a minute or so. I usually do that regardless of what I'm running to avoid an accidental around the corner death. I have noticed way more launchers than there used to be though.

3 RepliesI use corrective measure. As an lmg user just stay away from choke points, if you have the desired cap point move away from it. Let the rocket nut jobs waste their 3-4 rockets then mow them down until the next heavy drop.

3 RepliesLMG use in Iron Banner can be very rewarding if you time the engagement right. I'll pick up heavy and then switch to a sniper to engage the enemy from range and take less risk of losing my heavy from a rocket blast. After the initial mayhem of 20 rockets going off, I'll switch to my LMG and mow down the unsuspecting team, often getting 4, 5, 6 kills which usually more than I'll get from 4 rockets. Rockets = easy kills but low potential for high kill counts. LMG = high risk, high reward for patient, tactical players.
