  • I don't think he is judging you necessarily, but he is just highlighting the fact that Bungie is selling COSMETIC DLC for the same price as individual expansions that most of us already purchased. The "value" just isn't there. Sure you can argue the don't like don't buy mentality, but that doesn't change the fact that the pricing makes ZERO phucking sense wheb you look at the big picture, and it's an issue that needs to be addressed. I honestly think this cosmetic pack should cost no more than 6 dollars USD, but that's just my opinion.

  • $6 would 50 cents per item. 9 items total. Show me a current gen game that sells cosmetics for 50 cent. Right now they are 2.22 each. I believe evolve one of the games that was supposed to kill destiny sells skins for $5.

  • Hey I am not here to argue prices or economic theory. The Witcher 3 gives armor sets away for free....so what's your point of bringing Evolve in to this? 5 bucks for a skin is ALSO overpriced, and just because Evolve does it doesn't mean Destiny should too. Plus Evolve is garbage. So garbage and so lacking in content that they have to sell skins to pad their bottom line. I don't see why they can't just give this crap away honestly. IT'S EMOTES AND SHADERS AND CLASS ITEMS.

  • If COD taught Activision anything it is that people will pay 2.99 for cosmetics. You want your dog to look like a wolf 2.99. You want new skins for armor 2.99. Skins for guns 2.99. They priced similar cosmetics in destiny at 2.22. The real question is why do you think they should give them to you for free? Why are you owed something? They were a bonus to someone willing to pay for the CE. People wanted to buy them. They obliged.

  • Like I said, this is my opinion. I have bought cosmetic DLC before in several other games. I don't think Bungie owes me anything to be honest. All I am saying is when i look at this on paper and I see 20 dollars for Expansion One, 20 dollars for Expansion 2, 40 dollars for Expansion 3, 20 dollars for dances -_-..... It's just really bad pricing and makes no sense. I don't think anyone can honestly justify the price, but if you want to pay for it go head. I am not judging, hell I'm not even mad. But it's illogical to believe the price of these items is "fair and good" because based on past pricing models it isn't. If Jack in the Box suddenly sold a burger for 15 dollars I'm sure Jack in the Box fanatics would try it out, but 15 dollars for fast food is ludicrous and we all know that.

  • Like I said 2.99 is a standard price for cosmetics from Activision. Why is 2.22 per over priced? That's what I don't get. If they sold those individually for 2.99 like other Activision games would you be OK with that. As far as pricing you seem level headed. The OLD stuff is old. When Sept rolls around HOW will be 4 months OLD. Tdb will be 9 months OLD and destiny will be 1 year old. They aren't worth $100 total any more. All 3 endgames you will be getting will not be current. They will be OLD and the point will be to level up for the new stuff. You know how many guardians started at Christmas and know nothing of vog.

  • Fair enough, I guess in my mind it really comes down to the precedent this is going to inevitability set (which I figured was the end game of Destiny as a platform anyways) in that they will churn out, in my opinion, overpriced content that has no real value. These items are just the beginning in a long line of future DLC that will turn this game in to a money printing cash cow with much less of a soul than previous Bungie games. I fully support money. I like money. Developers deserve money. But it's hard not to feel like we are being dragged through the ringer on this whole thing, and as a gamer and fan that disheartens me. This is year 2 out of 10 and we have a long way to go. It's sad to see Bungie and Destiny on this path but more power to them. As for me, my wallet will speak to how I feel at the end of the day.

  • This^ these prices are well in the market value. The market value that CONSUMERS helped set. People don't understand this is how capitalism works. You only get one vote. Yes or no. If you don't like it. Vote no. But people WILL disagree with you.
