I aint Paying $40 for your BS Bungie.

The problem is not my money, its just in the last year, bungie has proven to me that they're not a worthy company. They don't deserve my $40 I've given them the benefit if the doubt, but dark below was monstrous and HoW is meh I cant wait to shell out another large amount of money (in my opinion thats a lot of money) to be: -Let down after two weeks; -Get bored, even with a full group of friends in about 3-4 weeks; -Reach max level in 2 days; -destroyed in crucible due to some rocket launcher with regen ammo; (aka some innovative bullshit from bungie) -Thorn still being a thing; -completing a raid boss that will be nothing compared to its predecessors, and eventually get boring and never completed; -Disappointed by the lack of a story even though Oryx is a massive piece of Hive storyline, if they screw that up.... -scratching my head, since the story of the dlc will just nit effect the game, patrols etc.. -Looking at my wallet mid October in grief where the $40 used to sit. This game sucks but you'll keep funding it. Dayum, desticles......... let this post die lol To all destiny fans. Who spent it best? http://imgur.com/r2Xovw3 Reason I've spent so much: I bought the Limited Edition for £99.99 ($120-$140)

Could care less (although I'm trying not to). The only decent map choice thus far was Mercury. It should've stayed on Mercury, or better yet, should have been a group of new Mercury maps. That's what many people were expecting. The only way to play on the new maps on Mercury was to do Trials. However, since the network is trash and you clearly can't police the cheaters running rampant on Trials, I'm done. I got my three emblems on Week 1 and I'm never coming back. Trash map choices and trash games with lag-outs and lag-switchers. It's a damn shame - you're willing to give out guaranteed elemental primaries to CRUCIBLE players where it doesn't matter, but Skolas never drops elemental primaries it seems. Even the primaries he's supposed to drop are trash compared to the stats of the Osiris weapons. So much for balance... The same amount of work and skill involved - you said that it would be equal for both sides of the house. Clearly it's not and you lied. You've lost tons of players for ToO and this cheap gimmick isn't doing you any favors. It's a limited opportunity for players to re-hate the Trials even more. Fix your network, balance the PvE drops to match the rewards in PvP, and maybe you'll get the response from the player base you're seeking. I doubt that Deej or anyone would be willing to respond, but that doesn't make everything I just stated any less true. There are problems - core problems- with this DLC that need addressed: Changes For PVE: - Skolas has a guaranteed drop for a random elemental primary upon first defeat for each character that week. (Cipher stays random.) If Trials can have guaranteed primaries, why not us? Both activities are end-game after all... - Some of the PoE weapons are a joke stats-wise: The pulse rifle is trash compared to the Messenger, for example. Both gun sets (Osiris and PoE) should be fairly equal in power so that both sides of the house are getting quality drops for the time invested in their particular side of Destiny. - Lower the ridiculous spongy health bar of Skolas. No enemy in Destiny should be able to tank 40+ Solar Burn-boosted Gjallarhorn rockets. That's absolutely insane. - Quodron is boring as hell. Recycled, annoying mechanic from VoG. Players don't want cheap auto-kill mechanics. They want mechanics that require interaction to damage the boss. For example, Killing key enemies so that players can damage nearby confluxes in the Arena to deal a set amount of damage to Quodron. Gjallarhorn no longer directly affects the boss, but can be still very helpful. This is a solution to "nerf" Gjallarhorn without "nerfing" it. - Variks sells the same stats across all armors each week, yet Vance diversifies his armors' stats on each char each week. WTF - Checkpoint on Lv 32 and Lv34 challenges at Round 3. Checkpoints on Lv35 challenge at Round 3 and 5. This requires players to still complete chunks in one sitting, but take a break half-way through. Players can't directly start at Skolas - they have to fight the Pilot first and Skolas at Round 5's CP. This is a win-win for both of us: we aren't forced to set aside 2-3 hrs in one sitting and you don't have us abuse the CP system as much. Changes for PvP: - Once a character has unlocked Mercury that week, they are entered in a separate pool of winning teams on that character. They have obtained the loot drop and have no reason to re-enter the original pool, but can continue playing on winning chars for drops and to hone their skill against true opponents. They can still play on other chars in their account in the first pool for a total of 3 flawless runs as usual. This still achieves the desired result of newer players getting a break, so to speak, and the "hardcore pvp pros" get endless runs against teams' whose skill WILL give them a run for their money. Everybody wins. - Crack down on your damn network issues. Too many weasels and baboons out there, Bungie. - Police players more prominently. You are at least starting on this one, so I understand it will take time. There are still many players out there abusing the system and ruining the experiences of other would-be champions every weekend. - Mercy is bypassed by network issues. This needs addressed immediately. - Bring Auto Rifles and Fusion Rifles back to their original numbers to combat hand cannon and shotgun abuse. Want to see less of Thorn? Then make Suros Regime, Plan C, Pocket Infinity, and even the newly-buffed Hard Light a legitimate threat in the Crucible once again. Again, I HIGHLY doubt Bungie will even pay this comment any attention, but the problems stated here are true. This would greatly help the DLC and the upset player base right now. Sorry for the word wall, but sometimes you just have to spit out the truth and there's no way to shorten it. EDIT: Per the request of many, I've reposted this in the Feedback forum. If we want to see these changes, let's be vocal about it. Spread the word and ignore the salty trolls that stand in our way! For those confused by my first sentence, I really could care less about Destiny (I'm trying not to), but I have a (perhaps foolish) hope that Destiny can rise above these petty problems and be a great game for any type of gamer. I really do like Destiny, and I want the best for it. I'm advocating on behalf of so many others in the hope that tensions between the PvE and PvP community can reach a consensus on fairness and equality in terms of reward/time investment. EDIT 2: As others have mentioned, putting Trials winners in a separate pool of winning teams would actually be a better move and I agree, actually. This still achieves the desired result of newer players getting a break, so to speak, and the "hardcore pvp pros" getting endless runs against teams whose skill WILL give them a run for their money. Everybody wins. I've updated my list to reflect this proposal - good job, community!

• Don't be gullible man Its all a marketing technique by bungie!. They purposely let out a leak to get people's attention and when the actuall reveal happens they will say 30 dollars lowering it by 10 knowing that people will be satisfied that it's not 40 leading them to make more sales and more people buying it. Baffles me how people still think that leaks actually happen!. ITS ALL A MARKETING TECHNIQUE

Internet Cable Sporting events Hookers Card games (MTG) Movies Music Cell phones Video games None of these things are required to survive. You continue to pay them(most likely your parents do) to enjoy them now and in the future.

      • 40$ is the price is spent on the last of us, I've played at the game one week (it's an awesome game ! But well when you've done the story twice (yeah twice :p)) you're done. Not fan of the multi I can't use the fist of havoc there. 40$ is the price I spent on far cry 4, I've played 2 weeks maybe. It's an awesome game really ! But again when you've done the main story and most of the side quests you don't need to come back there very often. If I pay 40$ for the taken king, I'm already sure to spend more than 2 weeks on it ^^ A new raid (omg!), so new strikes!, a new race of enemy, I guess a new planet or at least new missions on new locations, new pvp maps! And new weapons/armors.. Omg can't wait :p And let's hope for a more narrative story.

      • Lol $40 for a few weeks entertainment is a great deal. How about the next time you go to the movies with your mum you pay for it and see how far your $40 gets you. Don't be cheap, get her a popcorn combo at least.

      • Ok let's do some math here just to prove a point I've been trying to make. Cod=60+50=$110 for maps and a weapon no added campaign stuff(8 hours if you're lucky) no new game modes in multiplayer.(new cod every year) I've spent my money on cods and it's not worth it anymore MW3 was the last good one for me, everything after has been the same thing in terms of "tech" bring back an old school world at War style and I will be on it in a heartbeat. Destiny. 60+35+40(not yet known when the preorder date is but I will be on that list)=$135, new content, new story missions, new weapons, new raids, new arena, new pvp stuff, new game modes(arena and trials), weekly resets, new armour, monthly activity(iron banner), a social experience/experiment, a company that is constantly trying to improve the game play experience and are always looking for feedback, daily bounties, invested tons of time no game has had this much play time on it that i have owned I've spent my money and it's been worth every cent. The only problem I see is Activision.

            • 1 - hours played vs £ paid is awesome value 2- $500m budget was for 10 years not 1 3- destiny does have issues and they aren't fixed in the best way but they are clearly improving. 4- the game is fun (or you wouldn't be here right) 5- if you don't like it. Don't buy it.

              • These forums are full of winey little kids who have never felt the warm moist embrace of a real vagina in their little special place. All of you are looking for attention like little girls showing their cleavage on Instagram. Y'all who are bitching about the price, are the first to fork over the $40 on the PSN store as soon as it's available. If y'all little trolls hate Destiny and Bungie sooo much, leave!! Go to the EA sport chat room or forum and share your Destiny hating, hurt little worthless feelings with the rest of the haters. That is all.... P.S THORN -blam!-ING RULES!!!
