Would you guys help me decide to buy it or not? I love rpg's and open world games. Just a little unsure if to buy it or not.
Thanks for any replies

8 RepliesMany people say that it's the skyrim of next gen, but I beg to differ. I think it is better than skyrim, in many ways. Of course, skyrim is still one of the best games out there, but the Witcher 3 wild hunt has some of the stronger rpg mechanics, of skyrim, and it picks up where skyrim can be considered weak. The Witcher 3 has a nearly as deep crafting and alchemy mechanic as skyrim, and it could possibly even have even more customization. Unlike skyrim, it has a much stronger and superior central storyline. The npc characters actually do play a significant role, and the fact that your choices can result with any of the 36 different story endings. The Witcher 3 also has a much better romance mechanic, where in skyrim it is almost nonexistent. Regarding skill trees, skyrim still remains supreme, but the Witcher 3's skill tree is still pretty badass. The landscape is very diverse and very asymmetrical. There's so many side activities and locations to do and discover, that it could considered equal in regards to the same area of gameplay in skyrim. There are few things that could have been added in or improved though. For example, nilfgaard and the north are at war, so you see the remains of battles and bodies all over the world, but if liked to see is the two sides going at it. It would've been very cool to just ride along a road and turn to see nilfgaardian soldiers hashing it out with soldiers of the north. You could even add even more depth by choosing a side and joining the melee (yes I know Witchers are supposed to be neutral, but it would still be cool). Another thing is that. It would be better to give equal chances, while romancing either yennefer or triss. You see yennefer for five minutes, and then she's off to skellige. Next thing you know, triss is being thrown in your face. Many a gamer have been locked into the triss romance option, simply because triss is who you are able to romance first. Other than those two concessions of my opinion, the Witcher 3 wild hunt is one of the best games I've ever played, and is well worth the $60.

5 RepliesIt's well worth the money, but can be very wordy at times and missions do take a lot of time. If you want to throw yourself into it and have lots of time you'll be rewarded.

Witcher 3 is a fantastic game. I've loved the series as a whole. One of, if not the, best story driven RPG series i've ever played. Characters are nicely fleshed out, the atmosphere is great and the story is well done.

Well if you like Rpgs and open world games, you'd probably like it. The story is kind of weak though imo, and I found it hard to follow while attempting to do everything on the side.

2 RepliesThe Witcher 3 is my first Witcher game and it is absolutely incredible. It's definitely going to be a candidate for one day my favorite RPGs of all time.

3 RepliesI may regret it, but I downloaded it last night. Going to try it this evening after work. I hope I can get into it, especially the combat. I hear it can be difficult if you want to just go in slashing.

1 ReplyI love it. Gamespot, who are very critical in their reviews, called it one of the greatest games ever made. And so far, it's looking like they are right.
