It's kind of bullshit you need to purchase a DLC to play the nightfall. Realistically, that's 25% of the game for me. The other 75% being divided amongst VOG, weekly heroic and crucible.. Good job Bungie.
Point is, they shouldn't lock people out from activities. If they want someone to continue to play their product, they should make it available to everyone whenever the choose to play. Of course you fan boys will disagree because you're in love with the game and company and you'll just forgive their bad business practices. A lot of you people sit there and assume I dislike destiny, which I don't because I play it everyday. A lot you assume I don't have the $20 to purchase the DLC. I bought the last DLC for $20, and maybe only did a 1/5th of the activities from it. Hell, this last few days is the first time I realistically played tbd crucible maps. So excuse me if I don't want to waste my money on something I'm sure will be just the same as the last DLC. But, say what you will.
On a more positive note, there was a post on the forums about a little kid who mains a Titan who has cancer. If anyone has a link to that post, please post it in the comments. I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I just bought the DLC and the first mission was a challenge. That doesn't take away from the fact that it's okay to lock out a portion of the game for those who haven't bought the DLC. A lot you people have the nerve to call someone poor or cheap because they haven't bought the DLC. You're also saying I need to invest in the company if you want the content. I'm sorry to say this, but I spend my hard earned money on the original game and the first DLC. The original fame only had about 25gigs of data on the disc, even though the case reads that the disc holds 40gigs of data. I also bought TDB, which was "eh" at best. You're so quick to try and talk down to someone because they point these things out, but won't say shit to the company that ripped you off to begin with. Like I previously stated, I like destiny. I met some decent people from the forums and also via the clans I were in, but that still doesn't take away from the fact the game is incomplete. But when someone does actual invest time in the game by wanting to complete a nightfall, he's is talked down upon for wanting something for free. But if you can read what I typed, I never asked for a damn thing free. But, most you people are closed minded and have biased opinions about things, and this is the wrong place for a person to try and share his complaints or thoughts about the game. I'm sure it it was a hand cannon that you people loved, you'd be complaining every -blam!-ing day to have it buffed or nerfed or have it raised to a new damage level. But I'll leave that alone.

6 RepliesFor the amount of content in the dlc it is at a very fair and cheap price....

Edited by brutalgear: 5/21/2015 9:55:56 PMSo I've spent more money on Destiny. Shouldn't I have the additional content since I payed the premium price and got the DLC? Moreover doesn't it make sense for a business to cater more to those that are willing to pay more for their content? I paid more money, you didn't. Do you think they have more motivation to work on the game for someone who didn't buy their DLC or to something who did buy their DLC. If you ran your own business, would you go out of your way to please a customer who is no longer paying your, or would you focus on pleasing the customer who is still paying you? They aren't stopping you from plying the game, in fact there is a lot you can do. All put in place to entice you to buy the DLC.

Edited by Billisits: 5/21/2015 10:02:36 PMIt's only $20. Hell, my cheap-ass shoes cost three DLCs.

You knew Omnigul was in rotation for the last 6 months but you chose to bitch about this one for doing the same? You need a damn hug?

Talk about entitlement.

1 ReplyYou're not really locked out of anything. You have access to the content you paid for. Because you chose not to play it that is on you. By your logic if I buy a plane ticket to somewhere I should automatically get first class even though I didn't pay for it because I paid to get on the same plane as the people who did pay for first class. You say you like destiny and play every day yet you don't want to invest money into an expansion. I'm wondering what you think the people who did pay for the expansion should get if everyone should have access to the new levels.

1 Replysure wish people had $20 in their pockets...

If I payed the money to get the DLC, why should have to experience the same strikes still, as the Nightfall? Why shouldn't I be able to play the new strike as the Nightfall? I payed for the content. I'd like to enjoy it.

ha ha ha

Why should bungie care about you?

5 RepliesIt's called being in business to make money. You continue to invest $$$ in their company they continue to reward you. You don't invest $$$ in their company you're slowly phased out.

That's because the base game is part of a large project. You do t have the complete game, so you can't play the parts you don't have.

2 RepliesCough up $20 its worth it all Kinds of gear worth getting

It works both ways. Why should people who paid for the DLC have to play the same strikes over and over to please the people who didn't? If I've bought new content I expect to be able to play it, and that extends to having the nightfall as one of the new strikes. They've made a compromise by changing the weekly heroic anyway, but it wouldn't be practical to have separate rotations for those with the vanilla game, those with CE and those with all three.
-
Well I haven't purchased it yet and I'm having lots of fun doing the Queens bountys and the 32 weekly on all characters. I am actually glad I haven't bought it yet because I've got enough on my plate doing this lot (I only play a couple of hours a day) wouldn't mind doing the trials but I'm busy weekend so I might leave it a bit longer

I feel you bud I was that way about the dark below until I finally caved and bought it just so I could get the nightfall and weeklies, however at least they made it where you can still do weekly heroic. Another thing and this is coming from someone who like you was disappointed by dark below, House of Wolves is over 9000 times better. I was skeptical but trust me it's actually really cool.

3 RepliesBecause they need to make money to do bigger shit you dumbass stop bein a cheap ass bitch and cough up 20 dollars for the expansion pass
