It's kind of bullshit you need to purchase a DLC to play the nightfall. Realistically, that's 25% of the game for me. The other 75% being divided amongst VOG, weekly heroic and crucible.. Good job Bungie.
Point is, they shouldn't lock people out from activities. If they want someone to continue to play their product, they should make it available to everyone whenever the choose to play. Of course you fan boys will disagree because you're in love with the game and company and you'll just forgive their bad business practices. A lot of you people sit there and assume I dislike destiny, which I don't because I play it everyday. A lot you assume I don't have the $20 to purchase the DLC. I bought the last DLC for $20, and maybe only did a 1/5th of the activities from it. Hell, this last few days is the first time I realistically played tbd crucible maps. So excuse me if I don't want to waste my money on something I'm sure will be just the same as the last DLC. But, say what you will.
On a more positive note, there was a post on the forums about a little kid who mains a Titan who has cancer. If anyone has a link to that post, please post it in the comments. I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I just bought the DLC and the first mission was a challenge. That doesn't take away from the fact that it's okay to lock out a portion of the game for those who haven't bought the DLC. A lot you people have the nerve to call someone poor or cheap because they haven't bought the DLC. You're also saying I need to invest in the company if you want the content. I'm sorry to say this, but I spend my hard earned money on the original game and the first DLC. The original fame only had about 25gigs of data on the disc, even though the case reads that the disc holds 40gigs of data. I also bought TDB, which was "eh" at best. You're so quick to try and talk down to someone because they point these things out, but won't say shit to the company that ripped you off to begin with. Like I previously stated, I like destiny. I met some decent people from the forums and also via the clans I were in, but that still doesn't take away from the fact the game is incomplete. But when someone does actual invest time in the game by wanting to complete a nightfall, he's is talked down upon for wanting something for free. But if you can read what I typed, I never asked for a damn thing free. But, most you people are closed minded and have biased opinions about things, and this is the wrong place for a person to try and share his complaints or thoughts about the game. I'm sure it it was a hand cannon that you people loved, you'd be complaining every -blam!-ing day to have it buffed or nerfed or have it raised to a new damage level. But I'll leave that alone.

Or bungie could not be lazy and make two seperate playlists...

Its equally frustrating for HOW DLC owners to have to play the same old strikes as nightfalls. We paid for the DLC so the HOW strike should be in the rotation....... Either accept that you will occasionally be locked out of content, as Bungie caters to DLC owners, or cough up and buy HOW already....... PS- what did you expect on the week HOW was released?

9 RepliesBad business practice? You mean rewarding their customers who have continued to support them by buying the new content? You need to grow up and realize nothing in life is free. You want the best Destiny experience? Buy the DLC. Won't/Can't? Stop complaining about not getting the same benefits as current paying players.
-
China called, they want their Great Wall back.
-
It's locked for one week. Stop complaining; the Nightfall isn't unavailable for ever.
-
Hold on a second... What do you mean, "you people"?
-
Buy the DLC like the rest of us then!? If not then stop bitching about it
-
Fun isn't free, most games now are worthless after 8 months. You want to keep enjoying new content and keep this company going then pay up. BTW oh no 20 whole dollars? That's an extra 3 hours I have to put in at my minimum wage job. Boo f-ing hoo
-
Its SMART business, regardless of what they say in the weekly update about how much they love the players they still do this to make money. If that means locking the nightfall from those few players who were on the border of buying the dlc then so be it.

Edited by WormChi: 5/22/2015 7:19:39 AMHow many times have you ran the same nightfall? There is no subscription fee for this game so they have paid DLC. Servers cost money to run even if you're crappy servers. Besides HoW is awesome and new content keeps it fresh. I don't know how you're even still playing with no DLC purchases. I would have lost it by now.

What do u mean "you people"?

Lock people out of the activity? You delirious -blam!-! It's new content!
-
Dude, the DLC is awesome. So much better then TDB.
-
At least you can do the heroic unlike last dlc launch

2 RepliesPeople who pay for the dlc for a game that, upon development, was known to be a dlc heavy endeavor, shouldnt be punished by not being able To enjoy their purchases in weekly events because some people didn't want to buy it.
-
1 ReplyGuess what? Weekly heroic is open to non-DLC owners. Stop bitching and either buy the DLC or sell the game.
-
3 RepliesYou say there is nothing you want to do in the dlc but are complaint about not being able to do the nightfall from the dlc , the game is growing , you either choose to grow with it or accept some limitations because of it , how long are they supposed to continue supporting just the base game , until comet , until the comet dlc , etc, etc , etc I personally don't want them to only offer the same strikes over and over from just the base game , I already wish the playstation exclusives could show up too but I am more understanding of that limitation and have hopes they will be included when released for Xbox I don't know why people get so mad , when they released the first game they announced the dlc packs then , so it should not be much of a surprise and to those that say well they should offer two separate nightfall as for those without the dlc, this issue will only compound as things move forward so I think it would be silly , should they have one nightfall for people with base game only , a second option for those with only the base game and dark below and a third option for those who have the base game and both expansions and then continue that once destiny two comes out , no , it is am expanding world and will continue to grow , support for those with the base game only will continue to shrink , it also makes business sense as it will give people a reason to want to buy the expansions so they can make more money to continue to release more and better content which is good for everybody Sorry for the wall of text , I just get mad when I see these posts.

Good god, if he doesn't want the dlc and still wants to do a nightfall, that doesn't make him the antichrist.
-
I thought we got rid of your kind in the last expansion. That drum has been beaten into submission; move along.
-
I have all the DLC, but have never done a nightfall or raid. Just not my cup of tea. But if you don't buy the DLC I don't see why you could expect to participate in DLC enabled activities.
-
2 RepliesToo bad you can't buy DLC with food stamps you broke ho.
-
No one cares
-
Take your bottles back. Use that 20$ you made from it, cash that sht in for the dlc and stop having a whinge. What is with the btching? #growup
