Didn't bungie claim that Crota End's raid drops would be an improvement over vog drops?
They did and no one can deny it,i feel like it was bullshit since I can't get a black hammer even though I've been trying since it was released, and i know there are plenty of people that are also in my place, atleast half of the people in every normal raid team i get into is missing a black hammer or any other raid weapon and its honestly really disheartening.Don't get me wrong, im not saying you should get every raid weapon in the first week but dont make it ridiculously elusive, what do you guys think? And are you guys missing an raid weapons?

Edit 2: i realize i mispoke when i said that ce raid drops are only a small improvement over the vog drops, its definitely better but it has its own flaws

The armor drops are much better. Hasn't taken long to have most pieces for my toons. I've gotten a fair amount of weapons from CE too. Except I have received the fang on each hard run except maybe one. Wish they'd switch that up. Don't care that much to have 3 of them.

They do drop more often... but obviously since you can't get a black hammer they suck. You probably have soooooo many raid completions too, now don't you?

lololol. You think you're unlucky? Ha! I did VoG five times every week (I deleted two characters every week) after VoG hard release for Fatebringer. I only got Fatebringer two weeks after release of hard Crota.

If I didn't have 3 characters, I would be SOL too, got my first HOC last week, and I have been beating normal since the end of January...

CE is far better for gear than the vault. You're obviously incredibly unlucky where the Black Hammer is concerned.

Im so sick of seeing ppl get gally every week when they have 4 or more of them and every other weapon i need not to mention the freakin deathsinger mantle that refuses to drop for me!! I feel your pain about BH though took me ages to get it but my brother got it first time we carried his lvl 29 thru lol damn bungie fix ur loot system!!

Idk. I've only ever done NM, like 6 times total too, and I've gotten all 3 specials, Song, and warlock helm

First of all, they were talking about the ARMOR drops. Since gear was really hard to acquire in VoG they upped the armor drop rate. Second of all, stop crying.

They did say that the drops would take into consideration what you needed - but to what degree they never stated. I also struggled to get a Black Hammer (finally did), but have still not received a Crux of Crota. Oh well, that's RNG. It did seem that armor dropped much more frequently for CE - and that which I did not need became Radiant Shards to upgrade that which I was holding on to. Same for weapons - received many duplicates which then became Radiant Energy to upgrade what I kept. Also the ability to transmorph the shards and energy via Eris was very helpful. I got my Warlock up to level 4 right away to be able to use that feature. VoG always seemed so stingy on armor and weapons (still no Fate Bringer). The only things overly-abundant were the Time Breaker sparrow and Chatterwhite shader.

You don't understand how bad VoG drops were. I raided consistently, and had 2 armor pieces drop- both arm armor, both in 1 raid. No other armor dropped until months after the Dark Below dropped. I had 2 32s and was working on my 3rd before I could be a level 30 character. I deleted my Titan and Warlock b/c the drops were so bad.

I look at all the "Can't get Black Hammer" posts. I got Black Hammer on my first ever run.

I've gotten at least 5 of every other weapon ( crux twice ) but still no HoC... Got gally so not that upset about it but it's just become ridiculous at this point...And yes I run normal first 3 times every week before hard

Blackhammer won't drop for me either. It drops all the time for the other guys in my group though. I try to run all three characters each week.

There is no question that the Raid drops were better. Everyone who wanted to be a level 32 with Raid gear could do so. I have not seen a single post from someone saying "Damm. I have beaten Crota every week since the DLC dropped and I still can't get the Warlock boots to get to 32". Weapon drops have been good for most people. I've gotten 4-8 of every Raid weapon (with the exception of the Song of Ir Yut). I have played each week with 3 characters though. Still, by and large, drops are much better than they were in VOG.

7 RepliesI was told once that if you kill Crota with every raid weapon in your characters inventory except the one you want it increases the chances of getting the one you are looking for. That same person told me to get the crux make sure you equip glowhoo and make sure aidelon's ally is in your inventory, and that worked for me first time.

1 Replyyou know whats painful. ive only beaten crota once because ive been away since christmas (probably ran crotas end 3 times total). I got the black hammer, boots, and gloves in all those runs. And i saw stright away how great blackhammer was. Then i accidently deleted it instead of some crappy legendary sniper i got through RNG. i knew when the radiant energy popped up id done the bad thing. If thats not bad enough i tried to actually find a group/join a group for the raid, nothing. I used the forums here probably should have tried destinyLFG but there are two versions of it now !? im still level 31 because i cant get enough shards to level the gloves. And no one wants to raid with a 31 on normal it seems, so many better (32's) alternatives. so now I'm going to have to play the HoW, and get 34, just so i can get into groups to run crota, just to get the gun i already deleted, and play content no one will want to play anymore :(
