Red Death is OP
Red Death and pulse rifles in general have been buffed WAY too much. It's worse than Suros ever was. I have both. There is no comparison. Red death now wins in every scenario. Please don't make people use weapons they dont want to use.

1 ReplyIf only you were around to really feel Suros before the first auto rifle nerf... Red death doesn't even come close to how OP it was. Honestly I don't mind the current state of weapon balance in the Crucible, I'll go toe to toe any day with someone using a pulse rifle against my Last Word. That gun still wrecks anything at close to mid range.

1 ReplyYou have a negative KD in crucible, maybe you aren't the best person to be judging what's OP & what isn't. The only weapons that seem to be somewhat overpowered are TLW (needs less range) and perhaps Thorns DoT effect (less DoT exclusive to PvP). Autos could use a slight buff as well IMO. Other than that I think it's pretty balanced compared to when Destiny first released. Yes, shotguns are fine, it's the CQC maps that make them seem so overwhelming;)

Yeah they went over board with the buff. Pulse rifles shouldn't be the dominate gun now.

4 RepliesThe buff only gave pulse rifles 9.7% damage buff! I get easily out gunned by Monte Carlo, SUROS REGIME, hard light, and so on and so forth. The gun is fine the way it is! In my opinion the buff was well needed because pulse rifles could NEVER compete and that they are being able to compete with other higher weapons you wanna get them nerfed again?

I beat tons of Red Deaths with Hard Light in Iron Banner yesterday, on a level 29. I also got Thorned hard while using Bad JuJu and Red Death. Seems balanced to me. Suros Regime just got nerfed too hard because they nerfed the range and impact by a percentage and it had lots of both. If anything they just need to a way to make the auto-rifle nerf work on high impact ARs, because it destroyed them.

How is anyone making you use a gun you don't want to use? If you don't want to use red death then don't use it, really as simple as that. If you don't know how to counter the gun that you use then maybe you should learn how to counter certain guns and rework your pvp strategy.

It does well in the range it was intended. Personally prefer the 3LW. Same impact more rounds, has head seeker and 3rd eye. And I can equip Truth or P&T.

Red death is fine. They didn't need to nerf ARs again, but pulse rifles aren't op when compared to anything else
