You can believe in god and not be religious... Maybe it's your perception. Kek

11 RepliesIt's a proven fact that people who go to church often live longer, are less stressed, and(the best one) have better sex. Science!

2 RepliesThis isn't why but it's a good point Would you rather believe in God and have Him not exist, or be an atheist and have Him exist?

You can look down on people.

2 RepliesThere's no "good" reason to believe in God, in my opinion. I strongly recommend that you believe in something though; belief is essentially faith, and gives you a reason not only to keep living, but to enjoy living. Some people find this through Christ/Allah/Father of Abraham/etc, others via being Agnostic or an Atheist. All of those choices lead to a belief in some form of order or chaos, and provides people with a foundation to build their life around. Again, find something to believe in that makes you happy, that hopefully makes other people happy. :-)

1 Reply1 good reason? Because its a natural, human, god-made reaction to believe in him. Judging from your previous anti-religious posts, I'm willing to bet that you're already aware of that. JUST STOP FIGHTING IT AND DRINK THE DAMN KOOL-AID ALREADY!

I don't think life could have started without some kind of propellant. I don't think the complexity to which life has evolved could be coincidence. I don't the universe could just be. Nor do I believe the universe just randomly began. That's pretty much what made me ponder the existence of a deity. That and the uniqueness of human life to all other types of life on earth.

All religions are just a tool to keep the masses in check! Period.

40 RepliesApollo, I have one answer for you. And you will get thousands of answers from it. Read the bible. I challenge you to really read it. It will give you an overwhelming amount of reasons to believe in God. That's all I can say.

Not religious, but tell me how you can't believe in something more powerful than matter, space, and time. Those things alone don't bring everything into existence, do they? Existence existing is the real conundrum. For what reason is anything here, there, and yes even over yonder.

4 RepliesThis isn't your only anti-religious post. Looks like someone is feeling empty and looking for answers. Lol.

5 RepliesOk, this post is fishing out the Christians who play destiny in an offensive way. I myself an an atheist, but I have no problem trying to talk with religious people in a respectful manner. You on the other hand avidly try and deny their rudimentary beliefs and its just not going to work. The presence of a god is unverifiable. The very concept has been so contorted so that he exists even out of existence as we know it, therefore, humans will never be able to undoubtedly say that he is there or not. I believe that he is not, but I am a very massive minority in America, so I have to politely bow my head during Christmas mass and not say a word. Its the way it will always be since god will never be proven or unproven. Reasons to believe in him have no standing if you can't prove his existence. This question is stupid because they actually can't possibly give a satisfying answer to you.

If you believe in the Big Bang theory, if God said let there be light and all of the universe came into existence, that would be a pretty big -blam!-ing bang if you ask me.

3 RepliesThink of religion as a pair of kicks. When you first buy into it, they fit perfectly. However, as life goes on, you grow out of them. You need to find a new pair. Then you stumble upon Christianity. It's the super cool Back to the Future kicks that were supposed to come out this year but didn't come out and that made you sad. But they did. Not only do they auto tighten, but they perfectly anticipate the growth of your foot and somehow change to perfectly comfort your foot just the way you like it. Now let's step back. Your foot is the course of time. It flows in unpredictable ways. The Word of God perfectly anticipates changes that happen in history, such as the future becoming as bad as the days of Noah (people sleeping with whoever they please, homosexuality, theft, murder, etc.). Revelations has so many perfect predictions. of the future that we've seen today. You know you want those cool shoes. And there's one added bonus: they're free. All you have to do is wear them for everyone to see. TL;DR: Bible is cool shoes you want to wear.
