anybody else not spending commendations?
I have 7 vanguard commendations, and 6 crucible ones. I do not do crucible, so i never have any crucible marks. And i do not buy vanguard weapons from the vendor as the perks lick balls.
Can we please get something to spend these on as some type of reward for time spent? Every time you level up a faction they give you one of the crucible comms. Please give us an actual reason to use these

There really needs to be a currency exchange; translatable values can be argued, but there are so many currency and crafting materials that vaults fill in a hurry. (Other than spending motes of light on legendary engrams essentially for the exotic shard what am I supposed to do with these?) <I guess in essence there's your currency valuation, 23 motes = 7 strange coins... Roughly a 3 to 1 ratio> I'd be nice to be able to exchange my stacks of spin-metal 1 for 1 with helium coils. (Hell I'd take 2 to 1).

what exactly does that thing so? I have 3-4 Vanguard/Crucible ones on each character now I've used the packages and normally I get energy, shard, or strange coin rarely any armor or weapon anymore in fact, I get more shaders from Vanguard

Agreed. Its just another unnecessary vault space filler. Has anybody out there spent more than 2? Why would we need more than 2? You'd be super unlucky to rank up vanguard twice and not receive a helmet or chest piece at some point.

3 RepliesActually, Bungie should tweak the game so we can use them to level up old legendary gear like they did with exotics. Turn them into quarter master with Commendation. I'd love to get my TDYK up to 331. Bungie has a lot to learn. All the new legendary weps are worse than the old ones.

Got 8 just chilling. Because I was lucky enough to get raid armour the first week so never had to buy the armour needing commendations. Also got the raid weapons so never needed to buy the crappy vanguard ones

Radiant materials/ascendet materials/ perk reroll of faction weapons/buy legendary engrams Something like that would be good

So, like you, I have a collection of commendations that I have nothing to spend on. Coiled Hiss is an ok pulse rifle. That's about it. Couldn't care less for any of the others the Vanguard is selling. I don't do crucible either so, there's a bunch of vendors I can't use since I have almost zero crucible marks. I will say though, I got the scout rifle, NitC, that has the perk to explode enemies on a critical hit. I have it maxed out and it's pretty damn awesome. Makes me sad knowing that in March, when the next dlc drops, it's going to be left behind with no way to upgrade, like you can with exotics.

Should be able to trade them for energies and shards. One commendation for 6.

I have 9 commendations, it's funny cause with the points cap you can only really buy 1 weapon per week or one per every fortnight, silly really.. You could at least be able to discard them into ascendant materials, I really wish they'd make weapons cost 100 marks rather then 150, or increase the cap to 150, people are always going to way more commendations then they'll ever need and they'll never be able to do anything with them, I discarded one to see what would happen and got nothing at all
