Ice Breaker Needs to be Reevaluated
Honestly, it can one shot you across the map, it's in need of a serious nerf.
I would suggest a 20% decrease in RoF or a 10-15% decrease in damage. That would be fair and give the other sniper rifles like the Elitaph etc. a chance to be viable in PvP. I understand that both PvP and PvE are affected by this nerf, but let's be honest here, icebreaker is also ridiculous in PvE.
Thoughts?
Edit: if you're gonna criticize my playstyle, you should atleast have a higher k/d.
Edit: 3.0x10^8: the popularity this post is receiving is astounding. Surely bungie will notice this, let's hear your thoughts guys!
Edit 6.67x10^-11: I seem to be taking a lot of flak over what is clearly a genuine post regarding, in my opinion, a topic that is greatly in need of discussion.

Only an imbecile would 1, waste their exotic slot on it, and 2, gimp themselves with a shitty ROF and shitty stability sniper for "unlimited ammo" when special ammo is handed out like candy during Halloween. Every sniper can one shot head shot. Every sniper kills in 2 body shots. If you think the icebreaker needs a nerf for PVP you're either a total moron or trolling.

5 RepliesYet again another PvP crying "nerf that shit!" You know what, I am crap at PvP. To me any gun could be OP but I go by the saying "A bad workman blames his tools" I don't blame a gun for my crapness nor do I cry nerf for getting killed several times by a certain gun. I personally would be happy if Bungie adjusted PvP so that you could only pick from a few PvP only guns (everyone has the same AR or Scout etc) Let's say you go to a lobby/holding screen and then chose your load out from a predetermined set of guns, then start. I see this as the only viable option to stop all the brats crying nerf and messing with the more popular side of the game. But saying that even if they levelled the playing field so that you all had the same guns, their will still be the crybabies screaming for nerfs.

3 RepliesHi, I usually always have a snipers in my special slot while in pvp. And here's some info I gathered All snipers are a 1shot headshot kill And all snipers take 2 body shots to kill I have both the icebreaker & Patience and time The only way you can get rekt by the icebreaker is if the one using it is a good sniper Mostly due to the high recoil and the amount of flinching you get while being shot by any weapon Why the patience and time has barely any recoil and had a mag extension to reach 6(same as icebreaker) Not to mention your ammo gets reset back to zero once you die while using the icebreaker The reason the icebreaker is better and probably why head keeps getting blown up is due to the amount of aim assist the icebreaker gets (yes, different guns have different levels of aim assists even if they're in the same class of weapons) Even if the icebreaker has more aim assist you can and probably will miss, if you suck with any other sniper. I could go on forever talking about snipers in This game :) I use the icebreaker more cause I like the "pew pew"

I've never one-shotted anyone with the ice breaker unless it was a head shot. Mine is maxed and everything. PvE it's only amazing on headshots. They better not nerf a single aspect of the ice breaker.

Um, yeah, of course it can one shot you across the map. Those long range guns that can't, those are called scout rifles.

I'm sure u have more reasons for it to be nerfed but u only shown one reason which isn't particularly true. I'd say keep it as it is; it's an exotic so if people spent hours getting it in raid and it was then no better than a rare sniper in PvP, then.. People will cry :P

all snipers can one shot across the map.... It you are talking body shots, they aren't one shot. They are very high impact, knocks you down far, but is not a one shot.

I'm not going to lie, it makes things significantly easier at times but it's also a hindrance since it's an exotic that takes up a slot other more viable and enjoyable weapons could be using. On top of that, it's ridiculously difficult to get it upgraded since it takes an inconceivable amount of time to gather the xp for it even through bounties.
