Titans are becoming extinct!!!
Every day I play destiny I always see a flood of (in my opinion) generic hunters and a few warlocks scattered around and MAYBE if I'm lucky I'd come across a Titan. I just feel like titans are unpopular even though their subclass (the defender) is a great support class but you have to find a Titan first. I have to thank any titans out there for being there when the team needed support or a damage dealer.I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter too. [spoiler]this is just my OPINION [/spoiler]

2 RepliesI like how people cry that Hunters and Warlocks aren't OP when 90% of the Guardians I see in the Crucible are one of the two. Because that's just a coincidence, right? The fact that Bladedancer hasn't been nerfed yet disgusts me.

[quote] We are underpowered in the crucible [/quote] Yeah, especially since most other supers cancel out the Defender's shield, and you can't shoot out of it. The best place to have a Titan is the end of the Vault of Glass, since they're the only class that gives a damage buff.

3 RepliesI'm sick of people crying about being weak in the crucible. If a hunter, with the lower shield and health rating, can kill you with a shotgun then you can do it too. And I don't want to see crying about bladedancer because I had mine cancelled 5 times in a row by some fist of havoc dick. So it's not uneven and if people don't want to be titans than good! It doesn't need to be balanced, it's fine the way it is.

1 ReplyI'm a Titan Striker and whenever I play PvE I'm usually the one with the most kills and PvP I'm usual the top scorer or in the top three. I love playing the Titan. I never think about changing class. I honestly don't see why there aren't more Titans

I don't know, whenever I play crucible my whole team consists of Hunters and Titans. I have both my Striker and Defender classes maxed out and love both of them equally. I do believe both have their strong points it is just a matter of how you want to play. Same goes for Warlocks and Hunters. I've tried all of them but prefer my Titan!

I was a hunter main person, but my Titan has taken the title, love defender, esp now that my bubble blinds any invaders and creates orbs like rain, awesome!

Other than pvp, the Titan seems boring. Not to mention, the Titan isn't very cosmetically pleasing. The Titan with the fur collar looks bad ass, but I have yet to see someone with it. I guess it might be in one of the DLC.

Titans are not extinct, dinosaurs are including Transformers due to Michael Bay's recent epic fail of a movie. If you spin in slow motion, have every human as a chronic mouth breather, and have robots that doesn't make any sense, now that shit is extinct. Sorry, got off topic.

1 ReplyI myself currently main a 26 titan and I love reading a post like this. I was always obsessed with being a striker until some of my higher tiered friends started showing off how fantastic defenders can be in strikes and pve in general and so I typically rock defender to help out anybody I can and give them a solid protective shield whenever they step in my ward. However I am almost always rocking my striker with full speed so I can keep rushing offense and help my team hold those points in control. I have to admit I have been feeling as if there has been a number of titans missing from the more and more crucible matches I play though.

1 ReplyI used my bubble at the feet of phogath and punched his shins for a cpl min. (increased bubble duration perk and buff from arm peice)I was basically indestructible (damage resist perk) he stopped shooting other people and kept walking into me (pushing me out of the bubble) just walked around and back in it also resetting the damage resist sheild. Teammates mowed him down. (I dies the second my bubble disappeared) but in those moments I felt like a true tank.

If you're against me, well you're just screwed because titan bubbles and shotguns can make you want to quit life just like I did with the bubble shield and shotgun in halo.

2 RepliesI just made a Titan Defender PvP build and play style thread. It explains a lot that makes the Titan a monster in PvP. If our fellow titan players took the time to read/attempt the play style, then they would be the Kings of PvP once again.

It's because Titans don't look as aesthetically pleasing as the other classes. & because our super is nearly useless in Crucible. I have a level 28 and I prefer him to my wizard 25. Titans are the most important for pulling agro. & people don't realize how much crowd control a Titan can pull

I would say the biggest problem is subpar grenades and subpar special attacks. we have the shortest ranged melee and our melee abilities don't make up for it. Defenders bubble is countered by every single special except sun slinger. Fist of havoc is a just a close ranged nova bomb that ends up leading to your death if you don't wipe out the whole room with it. The only okay grenade we have is magnetic and it's still just a crap version of my warlocks fusion gernade. The fact is if you name anything a titan does I'll point out a warlock or hunter subclass that does it better. Melee shield? Defenders require a melee kill and sun slingers just need a melee hit. One hit special? Nova bomb > fist of havoc in every way. Increased melee damage from storm grip? Blink strike is a 1 hit from behind and just as effective from the front with a longer range. The only thing we have is shoulder charge (that I never use)....and everyone wants it nerfed.

Titan is my main. When by myself I usually run striker. In a group I will switch over to defender for strikes or what not. I am horrible at PVP so I stay away from it until I have a bounty.
