we need to remove Xur
Every week Xur comes out with welfare exotics that everyone and their grandmother will own. Every exotic I got off of a drop or the raid Xur has sold. Strange coins drop off of everything so it's pretty much free exotics for every kid that plays this game. Either expand the loot table or get rid of Xur. This shit is ridiculous. I got the Titan and hunter helmet the first week of the game. Thank goodness every scrub can't do hard mode vault. At least I can say I have a head piece.
Edit: I'm glad all of you are [b]THAT[/b] butthurt over my post. Before I got bored I seen that most of you go super negative in PVp and haven't even cleared vault yet. If you're gonna attack me over the internet. At least be good at the game.

I would have to disagree about getting rid of xur. At least for myself I don't get the time to grind constantly to get the great gear, and most of my friends play on a different system so I don't raid much. So in that aspect I'm glad xur is around. Do I think it's a little to easy to get items from him at a low price yes, but that's as easy as changing the price or requirements to get them.

completed raid on hard and normal positive KD in pvp. I LOVE xur I have gotten around 50 legendary engrams and only TWO exotics that I can actually use. I could care less about everybody using them RNG hates me so Im actually glad this system is in the gam3e

Xur and the other tower vendors offer the only methods with which to truly 'earn' loot, aside from the Raids.

Here's my only deal with this: The RNG is so -blam!-ed up that its not exactly earned (aside from the vault but even then...) Anyways, rng "earned" loot is all luck...where as you have to work to get coins and "work" to get motes of light, (no supporting either side of the argument) but this is from a neutral standpoint....

I have to respectfully disagree. With the loot system that we have in place, it's nice to have some level of surety in this game. My first exotics came from Xur because I wasn't getting drops from anywhere else. I have since gotten a few exotic drops but all were armour pieces for other classes and an Icebreaker I got from Crucible AFTER I bought it from Xur :(

1 ReplyIt's actually a shame you can't just enjoy what you have instead of worrying about what other people have. Your gear, your level and skill mean absolutely nothing, it's all completely scalable to your experience - except getting lucky from time to time. As a dad and full time worker I don't have time to commit as much time to this game, and your mentality of "if you haven't done raiding on hard then you don't deserve drops" and even calling people "Kids" and "scrubs" encapsulates all what is wrong with these forums and this community, if anything you're clearly the internet scrub and my ability as a player does not stop me from telling you that. Here's a piece of advice for you, go and explain your gripes with someone that you know in real life, gauge their response and maybe then you will understand how ridiculous your complaint is.

Although I do see your reasoning for wanting Xur removed, for some of us he's the only reason to keep playing Destiny. I finished the vault of glass for the first time this week and all I got in return was 2 ascendent shards and a horrible shader. I've only gotten an exotic bounty one time after weeks of turning in vanguard bounties. And what did I get for it? Super Good Advice, which for an exotic heavy machine gun, is extremely underwhelming. At this point the only time I really see myself getting on Destiny is either every Friday to see what Xur has or just when friends want on run the weekly. That's it though. And really, the exotics aren't even THAT much better then the Legendaries. I really hate to say it but Destiny is starting to get old already. I planned on this game being my next MMO I would stick with for years but that idea is quickly losing its appeal.

How [i]dare[/i] they have gall to grind strange coins via the weekly strike and the same RNG mechanics that applied to your drops in the first place. How [i]dare[/i] they convert their time into a meaningful item just like you did via the raid. How [i]dare[/i] Bungie provide an alternate avenue into acquiring your precious hyper-exclusive gear if they don't happen to have five moderatly skilled friends. Solo-trinity players should be denied everything good in the world. It's absolutely disgusting that these things are allowed to be even near your awe inspiring power wrought from decidedly much more important and valuable time and hard work, truly. You are mad that other people get things and somehow feel that your time and effort spent is superior. The only reason people want exclusivity in this fashion is to have it act as a stand-in trophy. A visual representation to flaunt, much like the head flames from the nightfall strike. Ask yourself though, why? Why do you care? Is it to show off in the Tower where most people just beeline from point to point before going to orbit or aimlessly dance around? Is it because you think those items make you stand out or strike fear in the hearts of your enemies in PvP in those fleeting 12 minute single-serving engagements? Is it because you want someone on the enemy team to go, wow that guy has cool armor, but suddenly another guy shows up with it and you can't be seen at the prom together now because it's embarrassing? You are making yourself mad solely from your own (read: no functional, and certainly not the game's) definition of value. You're literally calling for removal of the ability for other people to acquire power simply by your personal definition of value, because it screws with your sense of vanity and self importance. Shame on you.

1 Replypvp is the most casual game type in this game you don't have to do a thing to get amazing gear I can literally play with one hand just walk around and get an exotic. Even patrols require more from the player.
