Why did you guys lie about not favoring the ps4 when you are completely ignoring your xbox fans in japan and the rest of the world when you exclusives like a mission and other things while nothing for the xbox.

And you do know that Sony is a Japanese based company right?

2 RepliesIts not a lie. A lie would be ignoring Xbox as a whole. Its a tactical business decision. The market for Xbox in Japan is miniscule. And the culture there is generally more negative towards Western games. And it is also more negative towards shooters. Oh and Japan's home console market isnt growing like western markets. So Bungie and Activision made a business decision to not risk production costs on a game made for an unpopular console in a market where the game isn't even that highly thought of. Nothing about that is a lie. Because Bungie is still paying attention to the European Xbox markets, other Far East markets, and especially the North American market where Xbox makes its living. You are basically employing a logical fallacy where a portion of the statement doesn't exactly meet criteria standards set by yourself, therefore the entire statement is a lie.

1 ReplyI stopped respecting Bungie as a company a while ago. Now I'm simply remembering them as they were and hoping Destiny will be worth their bullshit.
-
Ah stop complaining, if you really want it in japan there is a think called the internet where you can get pretty much anything.

10 RepliesEdited by Rex084: 6/18/2014 12:37:52 AM
Let me put this into a metaphor for you: Say there are only 3 types of people in the world, and they each wear a different color shirt. One type wears green, the other wears blue, and the last type wears both (just follow along, the last one doesn't actually matter too much, as they get the best of both worlds, they just spend a LOT of extra money on both styles of shirts). Now, it doesn't really matter who's who, as it's just a clothing choice. However, say you work for a restaurant that started out selling food to everyone, but the restaurant got bought out by a company that said "You will no longer sell food to those who wear blue shirts, only to those who wear green." After the transition, you restaurant comes up with a recipe that ends up being one of the best ever created. Everyone wearing green shirts is going to be ecstatic, while those wearing blue won't be able to enjoy it. Fast forward a 10 years, and your restaurant new recipe has been better than anyone could have ever dreamed about. Now, your managers find a way to get control back in their own restaurant, and leave the former owners behind. They still have the makings of that original recipe, but they want to make it better and different, something new. Remember, this is a business after all, and you know those who have eaten with you before (green shirts) will continue to eat at the restaurant. But how do you draw in the blue shirt wearers who have never had a taste of the food? You offer free samples. Put a big sign out front that says "Welcome all those who wear blue! Come try our new menu, free sample included, and you can even try our new recipe first!" It's a good business tactic. Bring in new customers and offer them an incentive. Those who have eaten at your restaurant before know how good the food can be, and most will stick with it. Others may switch shirts just to get a taste of the new food first, but in the end, everyone makes out the same. TL:DR Moral of the story: Dude, chill. We all get it in the end.
I'm going to copy and paste this into every post I see about people complaining that PS is getting shit earlier than XB. I've been a 'green shirt' guy much more so than a 'blue shirt', and i'm actually happy Bungie is welcoming their potential new fan base with open arms, as do I.

As for Japan, no idea what is going on there.

2 RepliesI'm an Xbox owner, and I've just muted you for rampant stupidity and lack of knowledge of punctuation.
-
3 RepliesIf Japanese people really wanted an xbox one they could have bought one on ebay, Amazon, or any other place that ships internationally. And then order destiny. And have you ever thought that they are still setting up servers for the xbox one hence why the late release in Japan.
-
2 RepliesWhat if the decision came from Activision? Bungie owns the IP but publishing and distribution duties are from Activision.
-
Bungie changed man...unfortunately for the worst...
-
4 RepliesIt's a timed exclusive, so I don't think it actually matters.
-
7 RepliesEveryone. Just Dislike and move on

13 RepliesMost of the crybabies are those that can't afford to get a ps4. Especially those that bought the xbone in fall. I wised up, waited for the right promotion and traded my xbone in to GameStop few weeks back when they offered 50% bonus credit on systems towards next gen. Got 397.50 credit towards new ps4. Best gaming decision I've made in years.

7 RepliesEdited by AlexierXVII: 6/18/2014 2:33:25 PMWhy do you guys care so damn much? If you wanted exclusives so badly, maybe you should've gotten a PS4, I'm not saying PS4 or Xbox One is better. I think it's a personal preference for any gamer. Yeah there is exclusive in-game content for the PS4, but we're all still (mostly) getting the same game here. I'm pretty sure there's some nice rare/legendary/exotic in-game content that are better than the exclusives. But of course we all don't know that, cause obviously the game isn't out yet. So can we all just look forward to playing the game? Who says you can't be legendary without exclusive content? Just let that sink in.
"When the Legend becomes fact, print the Legend."
1 ReplyDon't worry, Sony will probably give every person in Japan who falls in the specific niche cross-section of Japanese Xbox fans who like FPS and were looking forward to Destiny a free PS4 and PS+ subscription... All 8 of them.
-
1 ReplyEdited by MandalorianDom: 6/18/2014 2:10:57 PMYou said Xbox fans in Japan ? I'm done for today. That video some dude posted below me I -blam!-ing hope it's not you, if it is, man,idk what to say.

12 RepliesLol you're an idiot.

1 ReplyMaybe because the x bone releases in Japan 5 days before? It will come eventually. why have two AAA games to compete over each other. Titan fall and destiny. It makes sense
-
3 RepliesOh look it's THIS thread again...
-
1 ReplyOh no, not another one.
-
7 Repliesyea bungie stop bs you say you are being fair to all the consoles but you are F ing wrong what did xbox do to you
-
9 RepliesWatched both your videos. Confirmed you're a moron that knows little to no business practices. FYI if MS really wanted to break into Japan they would drop their no cross platform online play bullshit. Hint: square Enix is already trying to get them to do so, so they can put FFXIV on the Xbox.
-
6 RepliesAny company given the choice would work with the Playstation 4, simply because it has the better hardware capabilities of best showing off their game and skilled work which they have slaved over for years now. Bungie is not ignoring you, they are only 'Timed' exclusives for feck sake.
-
8 RepliesThey stopped selling xbox 360's in japan like a year and a half ago. And if you are a console gamer in japan you have a ps4 even if you have an xbox one you probably still have a ps4 or at least ps3. National loyalty in japan is strong.

3 RepliesWa wa wa mommy :-( I'm getting stuff for destiny after PS!!! Wa wa

1 ReplyAs a PS4 fanboy, i do think the treatment the Xbox community is getting is pretty lame. You guys supported Bungie for so long time. I know Activision is making Bungie do all the exclusive stuff for PS4, which is fine as long as its timed, but i think they should at least make some kind of gesture of good will towards you guys. (i.e. spartan inspired armor sets and some remastered halo maps for PvP)
