Most Favorite Stargate series
I must say i like stargate - SG 1 but i started to love Atlantis more.
so yeah feel free to discuss and vote :D

SG-1 all the way, man. It was a great show, which is why it ran for so long. I used to love the banter between all of them.

SG-1 is one of the most popular sci-fi shows ever, and it really is just a fun classic. Atlantis was awesome, but it just didn't live up to its potential. Universe could have knocked Battlestar Galactica off its pedestal but was just a huge waste of time. No plot, very little character development, no interesting technology. It was just a "what if" scenario full of boredom. They could have done anything they wanted (any new alien species or planet, but all they got were drone ships and deserts).

1 ReplyWhat, no Infinity? Anyways, SG-1 by far. It is definitely one of the best sci-fi shows ever, though it did get kind of weak in the final few seasons (especially all that Ori stuff and the endless Baal clones). Atlantis started off strong, but then squandered almost all of its potential. The final three seasons were almost entirely set in the same section of Wraith ship corridor. They introduced some tantalising story potential (like the rag-tag group of space nomads that appear in all of two episodes, and the evil Asgard) and then just ignore it in favour of more "sneak around on Wraith ships." Universe was terrible. They tried to make a replacement for Battlestar Galactica, and it just fell on its face because it derped all over everything Stargate stood for. In the last half of the last season the show started getting tolerable, bordering on decent, and they choose [i]then[/i] to cancel it.

5 RepliesThe first few series of SG1, before the writers ran out of ideas and started resorting to "Make dem new enemies even biggerer" approach. Atlantis sucked. Universe could have been great but it had terrible writing. It should have been like BSG but instead the writers weren't prepared to write anything challenging or interesting and kept resorting to the ideal, resulting in weak storylines.
