Would love to know why Bungie thinks the martlet is so popular

15 RepliesBecause they don’t have a high tyrant with overclocked heatsink, delicate tuning and headseeker. If that gun was easily accessible the martlet wouldn’t be a thing

I think we are in an ok place. Martlet is widely used but its ttk isn’t great. 120 hand cannons and rapid fire scouts are the best at the moment. Rose needs a nerf - lightweight removed as 140 hand cannons can’t compete with it. Autos need a bit of a buff and maybe trace rifles too. 180 hand cannons and scouts have a niche. Adagio on 120’s also needs a nerf.

1 ReplyYou’re not special buddy. You’re not the main character just because you main hunter and use a handcannon. You’re just another npc living in MY WORLD.

Gotta let the jimmies compete, hcs are fine atm tho

2 RepliesI haven't seen it once.
Would love to know why Bungie thinks the martlet is so popular
Same, especially since chattering bone is better, harder to get, but better.

1 ReplyPulse rifles were never much of a problem back when special ammo was common. I hope they revert the special ammo changes one day.

I noticed more then a few deaths at the hands of this gun. Had to look it up to figure out why I did not find one in my inventory - yep Trials. Refused to play it since D2 launched it, regardless of how much I loved to play Trials in D1! The only Trails weapons I have came courtesy of Xur, and truth be told I almost never use them either.

3 RepliesIts a pea shooter in most pve activities so you must be talking pvp. Which only 5 people or so play that mode... I love it in the easy activities but its junk everywhere else...but that's almost every primary weapon now.

I remember when redrix was released and it owned the trials weapon usage leaderboard by a large percentage and everyone was up in arms, and rightly so. So, Bungie started to make multiple small adjustments to it. Now we have the martlet in the exact same situation, for weeks on end, and its crickets in the community. It's obvious there is nobody at Bungie keeping an eye on destiny. 450 pulses and HC's need a major look at. I don't know why they always get special treatment.

Funny how when I use the comp guns, I am not as lethal with them, ex: redrix, martlet I have played a lot of matches, and what I have learned, is that your approach can get you killed, no matter what gun you have I haven't confronted many martlets, because I am barely able to get into any pvp lobbies

Redrix , night tyrant and marlet ! Control is pants right now .

It's basically Redrix 4.0: Redrix's claymore Redrix's broadsword Redrix's estoc Now Martlet. And considering how high the stats on so many guns can get now (most from comp or various endgame activities), it kind of baffles me why they nerfed the Estoc/ haven't reverted any nerfs or why they haven't nerfed Martlet yet. I'd prefer they don't nerf Martlet, but compared to the Estoc in it's prime? The stat differences on what's considered the SSS roll on Redrix aren't too much higher compared to the Martlet with probably as close as it can get to that same roll. After that first burst with Zen Moment, both weapons would have near to maxed stability, so the only things prime Estoc would beat it in are aim assist, range, zoom, and any benefits from its frame. Or in comparison to my favorite rolls I have on each: * Redrix with Fullbore, steady rounds, perpetual motion, desperado, fitted stock, I think range or stability masterwork, ballistic mod * Martlet with smallbore, accurized rounds, same trait combo, range masterwork, range mod Aim assist and those other stats aside, that Martlet beats that Redrix in everything except stability. But 94 instead of 100+ stability isn't going to screw me over. When they keep making stat monsters like these, the heat weapons, and the coming reprisals of RAD gear, it just doesn't make much if any sense why they don't do this for every weapon or at least exotics.

I agree, buff Fusion rifles
