This GM conquest, Rushdown, it’s all pretentious asf and the reason why this game is dead

Apart from the fact that NOBODY in the entire company would make it through this strike, it is ridiculous to a degree that has nothing to do with difficulty. So, two overload champions spam totems that shield them. It takes me TWO FULL MAGS to take a totem down. That equals like a 10 second TTK. Meanwhile the champions can regenerate three times and are back to full health. Which absolute -blam!- came up with that? It’s so dumb. The totem spam is ridiculous. It kills all ability use bc you hit the shielded targets and you just have to waste your non-primary ammo on it. Don’t get me started on Rushdown. What a pretentious concept! How much of a Destiny snob do you have to be to make an event activity (!!) that should be easy access so complicated. I know all the encounters but I STILL don’t remember all the mechanics. This game is run by petty, pretentious people who literally hate their fans. It’s honestly the most passive-aggressive bs I have ever seen.

  • It takes like 2 seconds of brain activity to figure out any rushdown mechanic, and while the vanguard gm is supposed yo be hard, Its not. As long as you have a team, or aren't relying on a teamate to do something they arent going to champs are a non-issue. The games not hard, but it won't play itself.

        • Guess what, they test things in "dev build" where they're 50 power above the enemies so clearly they have no clue It's like making a zombie survival game where your players have nothing but a machete while you test things using a flamethrower, you won't know the actual experience

          • I could maybe give you the rushdown mechanics thing cause so much of these are seasonal activity bosses and new players don't know how to do the mechanics. However Birthplace of the Vile is probably one of the easiest gms in rotation right now except for maybe Warden of Nothing. Anything with jolting feedback stuns overloads. The linear fusion boomslang from last season stuns with one three round burst. The dungeon machine gun bitter end also is decent for stuns.

            • You are doing something wrong. It might be your loadout isn't optimised or you don't coordinate with your teammates. If else fails go for praxic blade getaway artist prismatic warlock-with helion. There are no champions you can't deal with even on the highest difficulty and most challenging modifiers. You shouldn't rely on riposte for the unstoppables though and wait until the helion ignition has stunned them before going wild with the blade.
