It’s super duper sweaty, designed for the elite PvP players.
For average skill players it’s very punishing. If you get the gear for the particular runner shell build that you want, well, you won’t have it long.
Let’s face it, after a while your average skill PvP player is going to get discouraged, tired of getting merc’d within a couple of minutes of spawning and move on to something else.
That’s my theory of why the player count keeps slipping down. It isn’t just that it’s the weekday slump. People who are enjoying a new game tend to hop back into it as soon as they’re home from work or school.
It’s not a bad game, it’s just kind of brutal for lower skill players.
You can shame someone with “git gud” till the cows come home. It’s not going to make them play a game that they don’t find fun for them or open their wallets.
What sucks is that team with high communication and coordination have the upper hand, except the majority of the world doesn’t speak fluent English.
Solo playing sucks, and team playing requires very good coms skills which even amongst native English speakers is not always easy.
So this game seems destined to be niche by design. The same way Raids in D2 were a minority. And again Raid aren’t as stress full as an extraction.

This shouldn't be happening unless you have purple and gold gear.
Also, per your level.
Just because you don't bring it in doesn't mean it won't match you with others near your level/experience/loot.
Of course it will be harder on free kits.
