Bungie recommending ways to one phase bosses:
"For DPS on boss encounters, put everything on the Weapons Armor stat and then equip two Kinetic Weapon Surges.
We are fairly sure you can one-phase any boss this way."
Like every guardian has armor laying around with max weapons stats they are not using?
Once again bungie proves the point they are designing the game for those that play nonstop and have every possible piece of gear to make whatever set they want.
"There's a way reduce the shield on the boss very fast, and another way to extend DPS, too. Take advantage of it!"
Would love to know how. Have not figured either of those out yet, and I am not watching a no life streamer just figure something out that is NOT intuitive, not laid out so players can discover it by just doing the mechanics like they are intended to be run.
"Again, go crazy with the Praxic Blade, you won't run out of ammo"
Want to bet, I have in fact run out of ammo for the praxic blade in this dungeon and on the last encounter. Bungie is frigging stupid, if it can happen it will happen and I am the guy with the constant bad luck to have it happen more than once.
Bungie; none of this kind of thing is going to bring players back or is helpful to average players who do not have the gear, weapons, knowledge or skill to run a dungeon in less than 20 minutes. Showcasing videos of exceptional players that can od thing average players can't is NOT helping, it is patronizing!

Also, you don’t even need to have a maxed out weapon stat to one phase either of the bosses, it’s simply a tip/suggestion to make it easier. Oh no, Bungie is giving the community tips. The horror. Endgame content doesn’t need to be dumbed down because people are too dense or too lazy to figure things out on their own without having everything covered in yellow paint. It really is that simple. Bungie giving info to players who are choosing to partake in a community challenge has nothing to do with bringing players back, that fact really shouldn’t be rocket science. I hate to break it to you but this post has absolutely nothing to do with “average” players and everything to do with bad and or clueless ones. Simply because it’s not helpful to you doesn’t mean that it may not be helpful to others. At this point you potatoes are just whining and crying to whine and cry. What’s worse is that you’re most likely supposed to be adults and you still post this sort of idiocy lol.
Like every guardian has armor laying around with max weapons stats they are not using?
The ones attempting the community challenge most likely do. It only takes three gunner pieces to get your weapons stat above 100.

I cannot tell you how many times I have set up insane builds for DPS only to not one phase. Last I remember was in Sundered Doctrine during 2nd. Boots of the Assembler WL+Geo Mags Hotswap. Empowering Rift. Withering Gaze Sniper. Bait & Switch Wicked Sister. Witherhoard. And my buddy was on Arc Titan with Cuirass & Storm's Keep+Anarchy. Just a Duo. Blessing of the Sky enhancing our Supers & DPS. Storm's Keep Barricade. Withering Gaze for Weaken. Strand BS for Unraveling in the Artifact. Multiple Sources of tick DPS. We were dumping our entire Heavy Reserves in one phase and typically getting in 2 Supers per phase and could still not one phase. Like fractions of health left. And that required immense layers! Refuse to believe "mUh TwO kInEtIC sUrGe MoDs AnD yA gOt It!!!"

Edited by Franco-Nevada: 2/26/2026 9:21:04 PMWell that's useful. I collect one of each possible combination of archetype and stats so I can test this out. EDIT: ON the Praxic Blade Kackis said they are doing infinite ammo regen so you won't run out.
"There's a way reduce the shield on the boss very fast, and another way to extend DPS, too. Take advantage of it!"
Only going to address this section. After you get him to drop in the pit(s) after shooting the white canister above the door(s), each player can use the shadow power up to 3 times to remove more of his shield. As for extending dps, you need to activate one (or more) of the electric generators around the main room & have him swipe into one during dps to give extra time.
