If you are a Destiny player who’s really not interested in any PvP at all, it’s probably not the game for you because there is gonna be PvP interactions that occur.
Taking him at his word, again, why are you marketing Marathon in the Destiny 2 App? You already made it clear you abandoned this audience and were ok with that decision.

Crucible Gambit Trials Iron Banner Lawless Frontier D2 is a PvP game also, don't know if you noticed And this is the exact same marketing they had for Trials, not for Patrol heroes

It's their platform, they have every right to advertise their new product on it. Also if you knew anything the Destiny app GETS directly from https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News and does no filtering. You are free to code your own D2 app that will filter out Marathon ads. The API is documented and keys are free.

Because they changed their mind. The prequel for Destiny begins as an extraction shooter, but it won't stay in that lane.
