I heard stories about this but didn't think this was true, but it actually happened to me right now. I got kicked From Ghosts of the Deep right before the last phase against the boss then blocked. I was pretty much carrying them throughout the dungeon too.
I was guiding them through the 1st encounter. Activating all the runes and killing the hive knights through the 2nd. That took 5 phases. Then had to revive and help them in the boss encounter. And I did most of the damage too. I think it might of been the 7th phase too
I'm a little raging right now and had to rant for a bit. Thanks for listening to my rabbling. Probably can see those scumbags in my history. Don't ever team up with them.

4 RepliesI'm baffled by the people defending this behavior and saying "it's their fireteam, they can do what they want" Yeah, they can kick people for really no reason, but that should be done BEFORE an encounter not right when they're about to complete it. That's like an employer making you complete 90% of a job, then saying "we've got it from here" and refusing to pay you for the work done. Which is illegal. Yes the gravity of the situation is less dire because destiny is just a video game, but it is still morally wrong to boot someone right before loot drops.

Damn jerk wads, keep their names close some day you may get the chance for revenge

8 RepliesPre boss chest kick also happened to me last week which was the first time since og atheon back in d1. This type of behavior should result in perma ban from lfg on first offense, theres no excuse. The report I filed seemed to have fallen on deaf ears so bungie seemingly condones this behavior.

If you’re on Xbox or PlayStation just bait them into messaging you rude things and then report them and get their account banned 😂

People for the love of Oryx; if you join a bunch of strangers this can and will happen. Join friends or start your own party. Lot of you can instantly solve this with meta community of fireteams made up of people who had bad experiences with LFG. My theory on why this hasn't happened yet? LFG is half enthusiasts who clear raids routinely, and the other half people who want to be carried by the former to a degree.

5 RepliesYeah, this behavior is disgusting and should be addressed by Bungie. This is one of the main reasons I stopped using LFG and sot out internet friends. My experience was a Divinity run back in S8. We had gotten through everything without issue until the last boss encounter. One of the people on our team threw a couple of times and at around the 4th attempt the fireteam owner started being a huge D to the entire group & really ripping into the individual having issues. I spoke out and defended that individual and told dude to "Calm down. We just got started." which that pissed off the fireteam owner. Within a few more attempts we got the fight down and on the final DPS phase, just before the kill, myself and that poor dude getting verbally harassed were kicked from the team. The positive note is that me & that guy became friends & got our Divinity that same day with another team. Bungie's position on this issue is to not allow a "witch hunt" and avoid internet harassment on this individual. Which I can understand. But at the same time, if public shaming to the point of influencing these toxic trolls to either change their behavior or be laughed out of the community was more popular & allowed - toxic trolls wouldn't be dominating conversations & plaguing LFGs.

Edited by rZI3: 9/13/2023 7:14:48 PMTo be fair, if they did ‘kick’ and it wasn’t simply a ‘error’ code, then it’s bungies fault still, they allowed such feature…. Whether they intended or not for it to be used that way.

Sounds like you were being toxic to me. All I hear is me myself and I in this post. I'd like to see the chat logs. 🤣

36 RepliesReport the whole fireteam, pretty sure that’s a bannable offense
-
5 RepliesName and Shame these people… they are not true destiny community members
-
3 RepliesPost their account names

Bungie have taken action on this kind of thing. You should report them

Unfortunately this isn’t something new. I have been playing since the first year, and this has happened to me a few times. You take a chance with people you don’t know. Bungie should ban people who do this. Make sure you get there information and send it to Bungie. Hope this doesn’t happen to you again.✌🏿

1 ReplyDestiny has an extremely toxic community. Surprised you lasted this long before it happened.
-
I had it happen to me once also. I was doing a Master Atheon clear so I could buy a bunch of Timelost Found Verdicts. Our team was struggling for a bit and it was starting to annoy our host. One of our fireteam members told him to relax and I guess that pissed him off or something so I guess he started booting everyone as soon as atheon died because I got booted even though I was playing well. The weird thing is, I got the clear, the loot dropped, I made it to the vendor chest but for some reason, the clear didn't show up in game or on Raid Report, like it never happened.

This shows EXACTLY why I don't want to play with a bunch of randoms. I honestly wish Destiny was more solo player friendly. This way I wouldn't have to deal with the toxic community.
-
And people, wonder why LFG is not considered an option by many.

2 RepliesI hope the both got wiped before they finished 😂

Edited by rios5900: 9/13/2023 12:50:48 AMSEVEN???? That’s more than it took to solo it, and I wanted to jump out a window after spending 40 minutes doing just 6. I’m so so sorry, that and 5 phases for the first boss - that’s so awful. Are you sure your teammates were even doing damage at that point?
-
Isn’t this a bannable offense?
-
Edited by Deus: 9/12/2023 8:45:29 PMThat’s not typical. Were you being annoying?

1 ReplyMe in me trials flawless game :(

Got kicked the other day for calling the host a donut. He deserved it, but i guess so did I. At least he kicked me straight away, instead of at the end.

Welcome to the Destiny LFG "community", this is fairly typical, has been for years.
