Because you can pay for everything, that’s the perfect design, Sony. Thanks again

I would say it's you F boi, people legitimately come into the forms and boards to ask for help and advice or give constructive criticism. And all they get is -blam!- narcissism from people who want to clap their cheeks and yell look what I can do, and say gIT gooOOOOOood or skILL iSSues and JUst bAd. Content is part of it too, but you drive more players away when you act like children, and you all don't call enough people out on it

Content Drought
-
The game is -blam!- now! Fishing? What? Etc etc etc PVP sucks and it is what has always kept people around.

we need CHRISTOPHER BARRETT back !!! Definitelly

3 RepliesA lot of the OG vets from D1 bounced a long while ago, those that remained behind are gradually falling off because they see the progressively worsening trainwreck that is D2 and cant bare it any longer. You even have content creators talking about playing other games. The vast majority are New Lights who dont know the perils of this game. You also have the toxic element of the community. The elitists and gatekeepers who believe everything needs to be as hard as a GM, thinks every bit of difficult content is "easy" and if you cant do it they will call you trash and say you dont deserve to play the game. Then you got the Bungie cultists who believe Bungie can do no wrong and when you start offering suggestions for changes to the game it gets you days of screaming at you in the forums or sometimes death threats (yes, i actually had someone threaten to kill me for suggesting bringing back SRL).

19 RepliesI've played since release of D1. I barely touch this anymore because I can't stand the insanely toxic community, the game is so defunct I can predict error codes, and when I see Eververse, all I see is a greedy company looking for every dishonest way of getting a few extra dollars off of everything, by pricing out just right so you always have to buy extra if you want something. That's not business anymore, that should be illegal because its clearly gauging people and utilizing heavy manipulation for a sale. Trademark of a dishonest business. The players are so toxic the only correct answer is a perfection that can't be met, but maybe that's part of the plan so they always have someone to aim their unresolved personal problems with because this community is riddled with chronic, aggressive mental illness it seems. It used to be alot better, but has never been the greatest. I chalk some of that up to understandable player frustrations at the company, they're just targeting it all wrong. I know that sounds bad, I get it, but think about the interactions. So many people delight in and defend harassment because "They're a scrub anyway, and probably deserved it" or something like "Its my freedom" which sure, but you just out yourself as someone who doesn't deserve freedom when you utilize it to harass or terrorize others just because you can. That generally means the individual isn't right in the head, so to speak. In my experiences, both being harassed and seeing it happen to others, its never warranted, that's just how ill they are. Anything to legitimize illegitimate behavior. That's just part of mental illness. Things like Eager Edge are basically dedicated exclusively to harassment, and even Bungie thinks its ok because they left the player interaction in the game without changing anything except you can't die by the physics. Does that stop people? Nope they still do it. I hate the company. I personally feel Bungie has overstayed their welcome, and they couldn't care less about how they do things because they are so drunk and delusional on self-pride that they can't even admit error codes are their end. Everything bad that happens is always someone else's fault. Bungie now acknowledges their servers are not great and will be fixing them over time, yet back to error codes, I feel like they were blatantly lying about the causes of these in the first place then. I don't believe they are going to try very hard at all. I think they're just saying things so people sing praises to them, so people say less, or so they hope. No more good faith, they abused that too much. This isn't a company anymore, it feels like more scam than anything, especially after they outright admitted "We pursue quantity over quality". Its dishonesty, greed, lack of transparency, virtue signaling, but punishing their own forum goers for doing the exact same things they do on their platform. They foster as much Elitism as possible to actively separate players, though players adapt their own purposeful, ridiculous, disgusting elitism by abusing things like Commendations, things like Eager Edge, etc. as well. All in all its just deteriorated, defunct and its time for Bungie as a whole to completely dissolve. Just my observations. I don't mean to sound hateful, generally I'm chill but so many lines have been crossed and I keep trying to understand, so I stick around, but its bad, and finally, greatly wearing, and I'm just angry because so many of the problems come from a lack of honesty and respect, so I've had to separate more. Just some input from one of those crazy people that have been around forever in Destiny. Sorry its so long.

Because the studio isn't investing quality talent or resources. Bad in = Bad out.

Sony didn’t do jack!! Activision didn’t do jack!! Bungie has been hiding in plain site with the cash grab shady bull -blam!- pretending it wasn’t their doing. They are a cheap -blam!- company knowing full well this game needed dedicated servers long ago to be competitive. But after crunching the numbers it was more profitable to just keep suckering new players in not giving a -blam!- if PvP experience was broken due to terrible latency and cheating trash!!
-
Decent players: game no fun, me play something else.

The more forum post I see the more I think I’m the only One in the community who doesn’t have dyslexia even tho I have it The buy out from Sony is so they can get the rights to do the tv/movie deals to make that content also so the team that has the most experience with live service games can help Sony with said stuff for example the last of us team is getting help from bungie for the factions game Also they both quite literally said and publicly stated that bungie has all creative rights to there games and future projects
-
22 RepliesThis has nothing to do with Sony. They've not had a single hand on Destiny. Any issues are a product of Bungie themselves

7 RepliesBecause they became openly discriminatory towards the player base. It happened everywhere, not just in games. To stay in business, you now need to push lgbt/esg agenda. So when the majority of people said "no thanks, we don't agree", they started shadowbanning, removing accounts, blocking users and pushing it into the story of the game even harder, which gave them a higher esg score meaning more access to capital for future endeavors. This explanation may seem boring and irrelevant, but it is 100% the correct answer.

3 RepliesBecause a lot of us stopped playing. We got off the hamster wheel and are playing other games that don’t nickel and dime you to death. Recently beat Tears of the Kingdom and Jedi Survivor. Fantastic games! Next, probably play God of War. I never played through it. Then go to the second one. If I was playing Destiny, historically I don’t have time for anything else. Even missing this season what have I missed? Nothing of note.
-
2 RepliesWhy do you keep thanking sony? you attacked bungie multiple times, its not working, if watching grass grow is better than d2, go do that, leave already.
-
Bungie not putting in the time to make quality content. I was hardcore of hardcore and Bungie alienated me with d2.
-
Diablo IV, Final Fantasy 16, E.T on the Atari 2600, we've all left for better games.
-
1 ReplyBecause the only people still around are the F2P New Lights, the bootlicking sycophants who don't ask questions and only want to consume product, and the diehards suffering from Sunk Cost Fallacy. That last group is a dying breed.

Edited by Lord Kielron: 7/5/2023 3:42:22 PMNothing to do with Sony, as they are hands off on it (also that deal literally just got finalized)It’s all Bungie. I wish people could realize this already, but these are the same people who blamed Activision. As for the player quality, we all left for other things. Things that better respect our time.

2 RepliesSony has nothing to do with Destiny

8 RepliesWhat are the criteria needed to be considered a 'quality guardian?' I'm not being a wise*ss, I'm curious to know.
-
Because this game sucks and is only getting worse. I used to be a sherpa, for raids etc. I don't even play anymore other than MAYBE once a week to help friends finish stuff.
-
The servers are so bad that when I get kicked to orbit or the title screen, I know this is going to happen repeatedly. So the first time it happens, I leave and start playing something else. If it is a work night, I don't bother playing because it is just going to anger me right before bed when my sever connection severs just before the boss fight. I play other games on work nights. The game is too unstable, and Bungie took to long to acknowledge the issue (and when they finally did 6 weeks later it was essentially "maybe fixed in half a year...who knows") You can't play a game with servers that render it unplayable.
-
2 RepliesDiablo 4.
-
Mostly because they have finished the seasonal content. Some have other things they need to do. Some have seasonal jobs, many reasons

1 ReplyI blame the ghosts. They're slacking these days, just rezing any old scrub thay can find.
