Comps a good place to practice against good players and not care about the result 🤷🏻♂️

Sure, and I get that. There is value in that. Elimination, survival and trials all have something going for them. I just have to wonder if they game might be better served if they were combined. If everyone from survival and elimination was playing trials, there would be a lot more people to divide into teams, and could make the average games a lot more balanced. That would be amazing, and it would be a more welcoming place for the people trying to learn, as they could be matched with people at a more appropriate skill level.

No, it wouldn't. Elimination and Survival act as a Practice arena. Elimination gets you into a 3v3 environment that isn't SWEATY and has no loss, no gain. SBMM Survival is a Harder Version that has Rep and Rewards that are at Pinnacle level. Loss and gain. SBMM Trials is the Final Form that Requires Team building,Strategy and Communication. With High Tier Loot. No SBMM, as the Difficulty is made by the Players. Not knowing your opponents moves is what keeps you on your toes. It's Designed to be Sweaty. Got to climb the ladder of progression. By removing Trials and putting the Rewards into Survival, is exactly what we got when TOTN was Removed and Survival was the only competitive arena. For 2 1/2 Years of pure hell. Trials Stays.

Edited by Rogue: 11/30/2021 12:55:08 AMAlso, hold up. We’re going to Sunset the Red war and then Forsaken next... but we need three elimination game modes, where two only exist to practice for the third? Ludicrous, we simply don’t have the space for superfluous content. If more people played trials (removal of other elimination game modes) and trials has SBMM (taken from survival) we wouldn’t need two other modes to practice for trials. New players could load in, be matched appropriately, and be given awesome loot to help motivate them to keep playing. The average person does not want to do months of pvp homework, and without the average person, trials dies.

Edited by Rogue: 11/30/2021 12:48:37 AMI think you’re a little bit caught up on the names, friend. Ultimately my suggestion boiled down to trials with soft SBMM, and the removal of variations of the same game mode, which do nothing but divide the playerbase. Please keep in mind too, trials died. It cannot stay how it was, or it will die again. Trials needs to change, the conversation is about how it should change. Not about if. We know what happens if it doesn’t.
