I'd rather use kd. I dont like how I can go negative and still end up with a 1.40KDA and feel like I held my head above water when in reality I got spat on lol. I'd rather know how good or bad I did. Assists should be counted but not added to kills on the end screen.

1 ReplyI can hear my 16 year old now, applying for a job at Pizza Hut..... "But Dad, I told them I had a 2.0 K.D. in crucible, and they still wouldn't hire me to stack boxes"????
-
No, but they do give a sense of player skill during a match.
-
1 ReplyPpl will turn racist and rage over that kind of stuff. They measure your worth based on KD, it’s sad almost, but not surprising Those mw2 days were something else
-
1 ReplyWhile K/D and K/DA aren't the end all be all, they are still important for determining at a glance a players general skill level. If you take someone with a .8 KDA and a 1.2 KDA, chances are that the person with the 1.2 is the better player.

Edited by whateverman7: 10/8/2021 7:30:41 PMBlame bungie. People cared about k/d before, but when bungie put it on front street for everyone to see at the start of matches, people really started caring lol. Why do you think more people play the objective less now?
-
6 RepliesI mean it’s not important in actual real life… but kd, kda, and damage dealt are all good indication of skill and proficiency in the game. If you don’t want to improve that’s fine but the way I enjoy the game is by improving myself.
-
Matter no But if I’m going for flawless or comp points I’m not gonna choose the dude with a .40
-
4 RepliesI ruined mine doing the ticuus divination catalyst yesterday haha, man that thing sucks to get kills with
-
It does matter, though lol in D2 pvp anyway.
-
3 RepliesWho hurt you?
-
9 RepliesIt’s only important if you’re less than a 1.0 kd. At that point it says so much especially in a game that practically spoonfeeds aim assist and easy weapons that carry in crucible. If you can’t go positive in a game like destiny, somethings up tbh.
-
1 ReplyHow else can you measure your e-peen though?
-
He's right KDA is worthless KD is where it's at lmao
-
it's a personal opinion. I really try not to die in GM's... my mates couldn't care less.
-
5 RepliesIt matters. When jobs ask for my C/V I send them the link to my Trials report.
-
Edited by MexicanSunnyD: 10/8/2021 12:24:44 AMMy kda is at a 1.8 I think after getting stomped in the Trials Flawless pool last time. The only time I ever see it is on the opening match screen so no big deal.
-
8 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 10/7/2021 5:00:03 AMIt is in comp and trials but nowhere else, elo is #1. My ib 4.8kad means nothing because i played stacked. Honestly the only stats worth anything is trials/comp elo, thats it. Ill take a 2500 elo 1.0 kd player over a 2000 elo 1.5kd player.
-
1 ReplyI really do feel sorry for people who stat farm in quick play ….mind boggling that people actually care so much about stats and what other people think . Clans only accepting a 4.5 kd or even people who take QP so seriously.
-
If i deal 60 damage to a target has 100 health and some guy shoots them once and takes the kill the game counts that as a assist when all they did was steal a kill. So yes KDA is just as important its just the CoD players from ages old kept the elitist tradition of only caring about KD. Thank god BF2042 counts assists as kill steals happen all the time
-
It gives us a general idea of what we’re getting into when we invite some random into the group.
-
It is very important. It just doesn't tell you anything about actual player level skill. It does tell you a lot though. So does ELO. If you've been watching those two things for the last 4 years they say a whole lot about what this game is not doing.
-
3 RepliesHm... And what's your real life KDA?
-
2 RepliesI understand this a troll post buuuuuut a .25 kda probably means you’re blind or something.
-
As a blanket statement it’s simply wrong. In a 1v1 scenario yeah not super important but in like trials it is absolutely important because it flat out tells you how often that player actually helps the team get kills

Edited by GalaxySpider: 10/7/2021 7:01:06 PMK/DA makes cool songs though. And the actual animation videos are great to watch. :)
