PvP is garbage and if Bungie didn’t force it upon us, nobody would play PvP at all. Bungie are dictators and authoritarians when it comes to controlling the content we play.

If it helps hop in momentum control No radar and Lorentz can body shot kill Very easy to get the jump on people with no radar. With the quadruple catalyst bonus from the season pass it’s very easy to be done in 3 games

Nobody is forcing you to do anything, or some bungie employee went to your house and pointed a gun to your head? I am sure that many pvp players feel the same way when they need to complete some pve requirement for a gun or a catalyst. If you want the catalyst, do the required activity , if not you still have the gun

Grind the season in PvE until you hit rank 22. Equip the gun and catalyst. Wait for Momentum Control. Pull the trigger 22 times. Profit. Now, instead of panicking like this, you'll have your catalyst and it'll be done with minimal effort. 👍 [spoiler]Sorry, all out of salt.[/spoiler]

I got about 20 kills with that new LFR today… and then realized I never picked up the catalyst. Was on the dizz-bucket ish this morning. 🤣🤣🥴🤣

I despise pvp as well but I will say with the momentum playlist currently going on I already got the 50 kills required for both stages of the catalyst quest. As much as it pains me to say this, “sometimes you just have to do things you would rather not have to”. If I can failboat my way through it anyone can. I know you can do it, you got this.

I don’t care about the pinnacles gained from it. I don’t care about Iron Banner or Trials. As for the catalysts, are the weapons involved really worth it? If you don’t think so, then don’t do them. I don’t. Couldn’t be happier with that either. PVP isn’t going anywhere. For better or worse, it’s staying in and Bungie will continue to mesh the two. You can either deal with it or be apathetic. I choose apathy.

Ok, so let me preface by saying I am a PvE hardcore main, always have been and likely will be. You are making this out to be WAY worse than it actually is. I got the PvP portion of this done in two matches just by being level 22 (Having the catalyst boost), one match for part 1, the other for part 2. The secret? Just play momentum control, that LFR one taps anywhere you hit, so you can just find a nice little corner to sit in out of sight, and just pick people off as they run by. No big deal. Try to expand your horizons of the game just a bit, yeah it can be frustrating sometimes, but if you just go in with the mindset of having fun, you'll do just fine.

I stopped fighting it man...after all it's not like we have any masters of pawnage in this game...I die about as much as I do to the AI and I ignore the manbabies.

You aren’t forced into anything. You want the catalyst? You gotta do crucible. Really. 100 kills in momemetum without buffs doesn’t take that long. As mentioned before 4X at rank 22. So 25 kills. And. Do you think the PvP people want to be forced to play pve to get exotics? Move on

It's useless to say anything, they don't care. They need to bring in some cannon fodder for the few pvp players left, otherwise they can't justify having it.
