The pathetic excuse for not having a real in-game story and stuffing it in bullshit paragraphs and excerpts from conversations between random characters that have never been mentioned in any in-game dialogue

I believe that games can have extra stories related to details outside of gameplay as extra tidbits of interesting lore, hence the word. Lots of MMOs do the same.

The lore in Desting is far too grand for all of it to be in the game. Doing so would turn Destiny into a telltale game. You know Star Wars? The movies are shit but some of the best star wars stories are the ones from comics, novels, and journals.

The story lately in Destiny 2 is quite actually the best it has ever gotten, The Darkness, The origins of the Exos, and the introduction of Savathun and her sister, the NPCs say it in-game for people like you who are too lazy to press start and press on their left bumper to read the lore page full of good lore, if you expect any game to tell all of that lore through NPCs and cutscenes, then your standards for a game with good story is way too high.

The lore has existed in story form for so long that now, if i try to get into it, it makes zero sense. The cinematic destiny story has been about one thing, while the lore is actually where its really all at. For example, the Deep Stone Crypt. Never once been mentioned in the history of destiny's cinematic story. Never been hinted at. BUT, if you read the storybooks like a good little bungie minion, you will know how hyped it is we get to go there. LAME AF. For someone who plays destiny like a game, the deep stone crypt means nothing. I run an agency, I have a family, and I have limited free time. With that free time, I want to have a great gaming experience. I dont want to sit around reading or grinding the same strike for the millionth time to get a gun that will help make grinding that strike again a little easier

With the amount of time you spent typing a response to the OC and to me, you could be playing Bioshock or Spider Man: Miles Morales if you have a Playstation, but nooo, you just had to dump your last bit of salt into the forums because Me Hate Bungie GRR

Because Destiny could be the best form of entertainment ever made if Bungie got its shit together. There's no denying that Destiny still has insane potential that's not being recognized. So yes, I'm playing Valhalla and Ghost of Tsushima Legends at the moment, but i still visit the forums when I'm chilling, smoking, etc. just to see whats up with the state of the game. Of course I want it to be great, but im not gonna sit around and say great things about it or play it if I can clearly see that bungie is playing us all by constantly taking out and adding the same group of things over and over again I cant ignore the fact that the community is always supposed to look ahead. If an expansion sucks, its only because its supposed to last us until X, "when things really kick off." We've been saying this for 6 years now. We were supposed to get the darkness. Boy, we got ice. Gtfoh.
