1 ReplyThere is an incredibly easy, efficient way of farming them that does not involve raid checkpoints. I will leave it to you to discover it. You get 12-15 per half hour.

2 RepliesThey said they fixed it. They deployed a fix today. What really happened was they were trying to fix the Spire of Stars exploit where it drops often because of a bug. They fixed that glitch. They worked fast on that one when they saw Aztekcross' video about the exploit. They really don't want you to use exploits and farm it. They hate you when you cut corners on their grind design. But then, they don't want another outcry from the community for fixing the glitch so quickly. So, they added some minor change and decided to increase the drops for the event on all activities by 0.004 and call it a fix! Bungie Logic! (If you're a slow Fanboi, you won't realise this is satire, so you'll be triggered!) LMFAO!

I collected 7 in about 5 hours of game play. 3 out of 4 raids I did dropped them.

1 ReplyOn top of that the weapon drop rate from the cheats seems poor. I hoarded 5 decoders and opened all 5 chest -> no auto. My friend opened 3 and also received no weapon drop. Considering the poor cipher drop rate it doesn’t give any incentive to do this event.

Frustrate the player into quiting grinding , and paying for some store loot to make themselves feel better instead. We see this happen time after time. And its predatory microtransaction tactics 101. Theres literaly seminars on this kind of shit. On how to wear down the player enough with a crap ton of grind and pointless currencies, until they bite and take the quick fix.

1 ReplySomethings happened. I've just completed 6 ordeal Nightfalls and received a cipher drop in each one. The other thing I've noted is that Exotics are dropping like confetti as well....weird.

3 RepliesEdited by crsno: 10/9/2020 3:21:45 AMI've now got 45 ciphers. Mostly by doing EP, patrols and public events, often all at once. I don't think they're limited entirely by RNG. But also by time. I got around 3 per hour, but never once did I get one rapidly after another! They were always spaced out by around 20 minutes. So I think Bungie deliberately don't want you to get them too fast, to keep you grinding for them exotic items.

10 RepliesYou peeps wouldn't have lasted 5 mins in a real MMO, I remember going more than 8 months being outrolled or denied by RNGesus. How times have changed. I am not disputing that the drop rates need changing but the way some of you react you are heart attacks waiting to happen. BTW, research has shown that those most susceptible to serious adverse reactions to Covid19 have histories of high blood pressure etc. Just sayin, chill and live longer.

3 RepliesI feel like the Festival was created to be played alongside Beyond Light. We wouldn't have noticed their scarcity as much if we were playing new content, discovering stuff, and leveling alongside it. Makes sense since Festival apparently is supposed to last a whole month. Just my two cents though. Gonna have to increase those drop rates to improve the experience.

No new masks. No point whatsoever.
