Warframe does it and you needs to start as well. Tons of fans design armor for the game and no inspiration is ever pulled or nothing. They can be found anywhere and it’s still better then what your devs conjure up.
You’d have to design one for all 3 characters and the community takes a vote to which one they like. Bam you create it and no longer would we have terrible Armor designs!

This would fantastic. They intend to support this game for the foreseeable future so why not get the community involved a little more?? Also can this get taken a step further and let us design shaders?? That’d be far more simple than armor and don’t get me started on the shear lack of quality shaders. The devs have complete creative freedom and we’re still getting hordes of shaders that get neglected into oblivion.

3 RepliesI just want some fallen looking armor like this in the game https://www.pinterest.com/pin/604749056188813222/

1 ReplyI want to shoot aliens and guardians not look in the mirror. Bungie, focus on the core game and if there's any resource left over, then maybe have a look at cosmetic options..👍

2 RepliesWarframe has community designed skins , which is sort of like armor But they cost 150 plat and you can’t use a coupon
-
I’d be down for a community set of armor

1 Replyi'll make my guardian a walking gnawing hunger

1 ReplyD2 Armor is trash. Bring back D1 armor or buff the D2 armor design.
-
1 ReplyEvery piece of armor should be an ornament. And yeah, that would be cool if the community could design our own and submit them to the public.
-
1 Replyi would worry about styles, specifically armor not having that "destiny" feel. a middle ground would be they create a kit with all the armor assets they have used, and allow them to be mixed and layered. though even if we gor this, the community would cry reskin or something. there are good concepts that look like they belong in destiny, maybe every now and then they could be submitted and approved.

9 RepliesYou messed up making this post because it's the wrong Bungie to be asking this. DE appreciates their player base and shows it. Bungie only cares about their player base money and shows it.
-
I think that most do not know how to coordinate their armor. Take the Lux armor set as an example. With the right shader and the helm of St 14, you have a punk rock titan that looks pretty damn good. The Titan set that looked like it came from Bio-Booster Armor: The Guyver (Phenotype Plasticity) was pretty dope as well. Could Bungie do better? Yes but given the ability to mix and match different ornaments and shaders most do not even play with it to find their own style for their guardians.
-
Its beyond me why they dont. They said makeing content was hard and they lack manpower, they have a whole community who would happily make weapons or designs for them. All they would need to do is model it and throw it in game.
-
Strangely... most community designed armor sets are way better than most of what Bungie churns out....

No bungies gear is the best, nothing can be better
-
This should of been a No Brainer for Bungie. So many players have designed awesome armor sets and (to my knowledge) they’ve never reached out to them. If they’re struggling with content why wouldn’t they turn to the community? We’ve been here for years!
-
great idea and it would save bungo so much time so they can focus on other things. Also the community makes better armor and gear than bungie themselves so yes great idea

1 ReplyThe in game armour for D2 is sooooo ugly
-
They will never make cool armor again bc then, they wouldnt be able to sell ornaments from eververse
-
Honestly just getting a universal "Tactical" ornamnts for weapons would be nice. ornaments that have that srs/sleek/gamer look but are low profile in the HUD to increase feild of view. Like i would love to use the CQC ornament on my Astral not just because it looks great but it cleans up my UI.

I like the idea of getting the community involved but I dont think things would still have the "Oh thats from destiny" Kind of look.

4 RepliesIf Bungie let's the community design armor, then what would they be paying their artists for?

If you are serious, maybe don't bash what the developer made. Regardless of what you think of it, It's not going to help.
