The game is good. Could be better. But its good.

Agree with this post, unfortunately we live in the age of entitlement and people simply cannot get over the fact there are and always will be counters no matter what build you run In D2. I see so many complaints about specials whether they be snipers, shotties, fusions and exotics They all have counters same as the primaries but some players can't handle their build being countered yet refusing to alter their build to compensate and just crying for nerfs. I've seen so many calls for nerfs on exotics too and it's quite sad things like bastion and jotunn I hardly die to mainly as jotunn is easily dodges and If I'm up against bastion users I'll prechare whatever fusion I'm running (main ingredient or loaded question usually) and get them first. The 3 peaking I'm sure is frustrating for camping snipers but on the flip side so is getting domed by snipers constantly I personally don't run swords for pvp nor do I emote but I'm also caution about blindly entering sniper Kane's or rounding corners when there's red on the radar. Melees I really don't get why they are being complained about Titans are really strong close range Warlocks have range but lose strength compared to the others while Hunters have both a mix of ranged and close, and sure while not as strong as Titans they make up for it with things like smoke and invisibility. Cheaters sure they are an issue mainly for PC it's why I gave my PC account to my kids to mess about on as they don't do pvp but if a decent anti cheat is put into place I might.

There is zero excuses for any company that chooses to not have customer service. When they split with Activision they intentionally distanced themselves from the players by getting rid of the customer service email and phone #. You can submit forms but go ahead and try to get a response. The only relationship is money for a product and I expect my product to work reasonably well, which means no stability, server, or in game mechanic issues.

I would say---as an ACTION GAME----this game is a good game, and is fun to play. But as an LOOT GAME and an RPG, Destiny is NOT a good, and is not fun to play. But to Bungie's credit they are SLOWLY making the changes they need to make in order to fix this. As a competitive shooter? The game is not a good game, and I doubt it ever will be. This experiment of trying to have a competitive arena shooter share the same sandbox and tools as a loot-based, power-fantasy game is a failed one. Every other dev that has chased Bungie down this rabbit hole, has reached that same conclusion and are slowly withdrawing support for their PVP, and leaning hard into PVE. The only outlier I'm aware of is Bioware who is floating the idea of adding PVP to their overhaul of Antthem...and I pray that they come to their senses and don't do it. It will be as big a disaster as the launch of Anthem 1.0 was. Bioware needs to lean into making the best power-fantasy and loot game they can...not waste time trying to turn an already damaged game and reputation into something the game can never really be. The harsh truth is that I don't believe Destiny 2 is built in a fashion that it can ever really deliver an industry standard (and relevant) PVP experience for 2020. To do that they'd have to rebuild the entire game from the ground up....and rebrand the entire franchise. The result, imo, would be a third rate copy of a dying franchise (Halo)....and a move that would probably be a MASSIVE money loser for Bungie. I think the best you'll see is Bungie trying to apply band-aids to these PVP related problems, while most of their investment goes into PVE. I think that PVE focus was part of Smiths "vision" for the game.

People give this game so much hate because they take it waaaaaay too seriously. PvP IMO never should have been a thing and Trials of Osiris was the beginning of the end. Iron Banner once a month would have been HUGE and probably still would be massively popular if there was never a crucible. Probably an unpopular opinion... Do your worst...

I wouldn't think they would have to completely remove emotes to make the above possible but I can't 100% confirm since I'm not a game developer. Just my thoughts.

PvE is amazing. I've long since given up on PvP. This extended season as given me a fair break from Destiny and amazes me at how there are so many great options out there for PvP instead of Destiny. Without a clear cut separation of PvE and PvP systems, Destiny PvP is just a piss poor lost cause
