I've been playing with my folks who really wants to go flawless. We're trying really, really, hard. We get like 2 wins, and then match after match were pairred with people with 20 flawless tickets.
Bungie help the little guy here.
Edit...
Just so everyone know I've been flawless in D1 a few times. It was tough a few times but I've made it a few times.
Got off of destiny until season 6 to play destiny again.
I had no problem for a long time. I was having a lot of fun. Meet a few people whose active until I'm with a clan that feels like home in a way.
I realized that I'm not at a level compared to most. I play PVE alot and PVP for bounties. Then I've been working on getting PVP more. Getting to legend, getting all pinnacle and ritual weapons. I worked hard for them. I know I have what it takes.
I'm not asking for it to be easier, I want some level of fairness. Because in a team competitive match you work from the ground up.
If it's a big tournament on money then that's different. But for games like this you want it to be fair and not being paired with people who is like really high on the leaderboards. I'm starting from the bottom this week and I was paired with too many flawless player instead of players closer to my level.
This activity should be fun. But if your losing over and matched with flawless left and right. It makes you want to flip out. Really it takes a heavy mindset to be paired with people whose much better than you are at the game mostly.
I tell yeah. I'm playing got wins and got losses. That's natural I'm not complaining that much really. It's matchmaking the issue.

35 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 3/23/2020 7:57:52 PMBottom line, it's supposed to be "fun." It's a GAME. Making Trials not consistently rewarding (for EVERYONE) is an absolute failure in game design. People will play if it's fun or they will play if it's a chore but they can grind out (at least semi) guaranteed progress. Not if neither is true. The weapons and armor are nothing truly special that needs to be "gatekept." For all of the people that say "git gud" or "shouldn't be handed to you" what exactly is your personality disorder that, rather than encourage a game mode to be popular with a healthy population, you seek to drive people away just to keep others from getting mediocre virtual items in a game? You get your armor glows and emblems so you can be "SPECIAL." Seriously (SERIOUSLY) ask yourself how sad are you that (a big) part of your "fun" is making others miserable? Making it an "elite or GTFO" circlejerk is just going to get it canceled again down the road. Think.

65 RepliesEdited by VindictiveAdept: 3/23/2020 6:33:01 AMOnce you go flawless in a weekend then you shouldn’t be allowed to go back in for that character

9 RepliesThey didn’t make enough rewards for the casual players. Trials will die if they don’t give the casual player base an incentive to play it.

78 RepliesTrials was a mistake

5 RepliesIm gonna push for my poll I did last week, a 1000 yes votes do want a solo freelance mode for Trials. I say make it happen and Trials will be fun. :) https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255506120?sort=0&page=0

You guy are playing a waterdown trials it should be 9 wins flawless 5 wins reward 7 wins reward thats trials this us baby trials and you still crying shut up let me farm u i need my loot!!!

1 ReplyThis weekend was just plain awful. I completely understand being beaten by somebody who is better than me, but being beaten by people who just have a higher power level because they’re a bit more lucky than me is a bit unfair. This weekend was especially awful because of the fact that you had some of the best players staying at one point on their card for the shotgun, which ended up becoming a gatekeeping scenario.
-
I'm not sure why so many of you wanted Trials to return. The majority of people are just fodder for the stremers linked on Bungies twitter account.
-
The biggest fix to this issue is to make it so flawless players only face flawless players during that weekend. Another great fix would be to only allow weapon farming after the person goes flawless. That way they cant exploit farming players trying to reach the light house for the first time

6 RepliesOh you think Trials sucks....... Iron Banner sucks, the Crybabies ruined the mode. The mode comes 3-4 times a season, and before Trials it was the endgame PvP mode to play. In PVE you can get more and more powerful, but in PVP....no....no we don't get to be powerful, and stomp,no they had to take it out of Trials, fine I got over that. But Iron Banner? That's crossing the line. I've enjoyed IB since D1 now they Ruined. I'll still play for the Armour & Bow but after that, I hope they fix it.

Destiny 1 Trials of Osiris was good enough when loot dropped like armor and weapons. I believe it was the best thing around when it came to armor dropping as constellation. Fast forward to Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris being similar to elimination has been a headache. Two guys helped me get to the lighthouse on with a flawless ticket only on my Titan. Note: I was working at the time so didn't have the luxury to get power level up to 1020. 2nd week I just came across different servers and managed with random players around to get two flawless tickets on Titan and Warlock. However, I feel that Trials of Osiris not only brought out the streamers but the cheaters/hackers as well. Those who cheat don't want to lose their fan base. They will find ways to cheat but no one cares this happens. As you stated ,"But for games like this you want it to be fair and not being paired with people who is like really high on the leaderboards. I'm starting from the bottom this week and I was paired with too many flawless player instead of players closer to my level". I will agree with you 100%. Like everyone else (including the cheaters/hackers), I paid hard earned money to enjoy content. Also reporting them in-game will get you killed. Reporting should be brought back after that matches. In addition, I believe that more rewards should be given to the losing team if paired with players who are flawless players. I'd like to see a skirmish mode (with Control point systems without the flags) come into Trials of Osiris. This will allow a slight version of players to earn same rewards as those from the hardcore Trials of Osiris. But I do agree 100% that there should be better ways to get flawless tickets and enjoy the rewards while not facing these cheaters/hackers who don't want to lose their fan base.

Trials is pvp endgame of course its going to be tuff chin up and just keep trying rome wasn't built in a day

1 ReplyTrials is doing what it dose best. Casuals are just avoiding it like they always have. Good job Bungie!

3 RepliesSorry Brodie you just ain’t good enough :/

1 ReplyThis week was especially sweaty, 65% less players made the 3 wins then in week 1 (light.gg) The main reason was the PVP GODS Informed us mir mortals that we should reset after the 3rd win to keep the shotgun in the loot pull thus causing a lighthouse wall at win 2. Just FYI it just didn't happen to you. Only 8% ever got to win 3 eye up Guardians keep on fighting you'll get there soon enough
-
Eventhough I did go flawless this week I have to agree. There are a couple of things that are totally ridiculous. Have to get 3 wins to use your tokens. Stacked teams have started farming for tokens. They reset their cards at 3 wins. The spray meta. Fake flinch on snipers. All activities are for all players. Without PvE casuals all you PvP sweats would be complaining about the sweatiness. Anywho. It's too late now anyways. Twitch viewer count is only 20k during the weekends. 90% of the world is at home due to the lockdowns. It should be way higher.

7 RepliesWell that’s the point. Its for the best player, if you ain’t good enough dont complain about it since it’s the whole point of trial

Edited by Tier 5 Gambit Enjoyer: 3/24/2020 4:34:55 PMI finally played it this morning (didn't have a chance last weekend or all this weekend until today). I didn't plan to go flawless, so my expectations were met. I had fun, and it's very much like old Trials (gameplay wise. People use the cheesiest load outs, as to be expected). The reward system does need a little work. It's like a weird cross of Trials of the Nine and original Trials of Osiris. Idk the right solution, but I'm not a fan. Being 100% honest, I just want the armor. I'm a huge fan of the Osiris fashion, have been since D1. I'm a little disheartened by the fact that even if I don't go flawless, I still have to get to seven wins to get a piece of armor. And just one piece. If they keep going the way it's been the last two weekends, I'll have to play 5 weeks in a row just to get full armor set (that probably has trash stats anyways). In that regard it's just like Escalation Protocol when it first launched, or if you're currently trying to get the World-line Zero catalyst (which takes 5 weeks to complete). Ridiculous.

The playlist will die in its current state

103 RepliesThe way it should be organized is like this: make flawless players go against flawless players and match people who haven't gone flawless against each other every week.
-
I’m with you, is stupid, matchmaking sucks, there is nothing for over and casual gamers.
-
just learn how to cheat like most of them.
-
2 RepliesAt first i thought this was gonna be fun now its like forget this. Hiding a pinnacle behind this was stupid. Not even reseting valor or infamy give you that reward. They take longer to do and dont give a pinnacle. The armor being held behind a wall sucks as well. Like it aint gamebreaking or giving special perks so why? Having to get 3 wins to cash tokens is another dumb idea. Also the loot pool is gated to what youve found seriously????
-
4 RepliesI am not even going to bother with trials. No point. If you can’t get not forgotten, like me, then there is absolutely no place for you in trials. I live with enough guilt as it is from all the losses in comp. No one would want me on their team anyway. It’s very often I end up getting hate messages from both my team and the other. There’s no possible way I’ll ever go flawless, so it’s simply better I don’t even try.
