Trials should be light level disabled.
It should be a test of skill not a test of how many bounties you can no life.
Do you agree or do you want unemployed streamers to have an unfair advantage?
Edit: Why do people think having LL enabled will stop cheaters (on PC. There are no cheats on console besides ddosing) ?
Do you think LL matters if the other guy is teleporting and invisible and invincible?
Do you think LL matter if you get ddos'ed flying in?
Lol
Its a weak argument made by unemployed guardians who want their mindless bounty grind to mean something in end game PvP. Move along.

4 RepliesEdited by Raj Ahtenn: 2/1/2020 10:06:32 PMI read through the post, read all the replies and comments too... I am not a pvp player at all, rarely dip my toes into it, unless it is mandatory for some reason, now I know I’ll get tore up to rat sh*t from you all, but... I find it extremely ironic that it is now PvP, complaining about PvE having an advantage. I mean, it is ALWAYS PvE whining about PvP, how they Frak it up for PvE this way or that way... lol What a comical thing... gamers on BOTH sides -blam!- about the other side, over a cartoon video game, that improves absolutely nothing in the real flesh and blood world... Really... did going flawless get you a raise at work or employee of the month?, did going flawless ever get you l a i d...?? 😅😂🤣

3 RepliesSOOOO MUCH THIS. If trials has LLA then the forums will literally burn down.

A mode like trials thats supposed to be endgame pvp should not have light levels affect gameplay. Iron banner is annoying as it is with light level and other annoying features. Trials will fall apart faster than anything the game offers right now if light levels are a thing, also I dont think trials coming back will fix anything. Trials is just elimination and the same meta will not change, everything will be the same so idk what players expect from trials. Servers will still lag, players will be as campy as they are in comp. trials is a waste of time

It’s going to be nothing but OP weapons that half the players won’t get and will get wrecked buy and it’ll be just another thing for players to -blam!- about

Edited by AdamBrix: 2/2/2020 12:01:30 AMWith this state of things in pvp, trials should never return.
-
It’s and endgame activity, I think that’s part of the idea weather you like it or not. Besides this game is so far from any kind of balance it’s almost hilarious. Enabling light level won’t make it any worse then it’ll be already.
-
Edited by CookieNiki: 2/2/2020 11:19:48 AMTrials? What trials?
-
You’re not wrong. Honestly, I never really thought about that. However, with how PVP is in this game, it’s not like skill is much required regardless of LL.
-
I agree iron banner are unbalanced
-
Nope. Artifact disabled, but otherwise it needs to be just as in D1. Remember, it was all wishy washy at D2 launch and was so unimportant it failed completely. Don't want to keep your character at max light(minus artifact)? Too bad.
-
being a popular twitch streamer is way better than being employed, also I somewhat agree, I think light level should only give you an advantage if its not from the artifact.
-
-
Paywall and PL enabled.
-
Not a bad request. Hell IB shouldn't do it. Buuuut...
-
Just disable the artifact and it’s fine, that way Pinnacle rewards are still worth grinding for for that little extra power but you won’t have people who’ve grinded the artifact to give 30+ levels
-
I don't think so, i think light level is becoming irrelevant and i want it to be more relevant, i play a lot, this is one of the few games i have played and enjoyed so much, there is nothing like Destiny 2 and because i can play a lot i think i should be reward for it, trials should reward light level.

Bungie needs to turn off the servers and concentrate on Destiny 3 or what ever they are working on. If trials comes out there is going to be paid carry posts all through the forums. Trials will be more trouble than it’s worth for the General non elitist players. If trials comes back this game will be more toxic than its ever been. Bungie have painted themselves into a corner.

1 ReplyTrial shouldn't even a thing unless the connection is fixed, and some solid solution to prevent cheaters is implemented.
-
It wouldn't be a problem without the stupid artifact
-
Don't make a post asking for opinions and then poop on people with a different opinion.
-
No. All end game PvP content should have light level enabled. Its just part of things and majority have liked that since D1. However the artifact is an issue. The way it should work is once you hit the pinnacle cap you're capped out on power, whatever that combination may look like. Being soft cap then using the artifact or being pinnacle cap and getting no bonus.
-
Regular power level caps (powerful or pinnacle) are fine. The artifact is the problem.
-
I would like to see the artifact completely disabled in the play list. Then I think power level would be fine. Just no artifact bump or mods.
-
Its endgame pvp. Light level should be enabled. It's always been enabled for trials.
-
16 RepliesDisagree, it needs to be about power and skill, some 750 new light player who hasn't purchased shadowkeep or the season and literally hasn't leveled his character at all shouldn't be allowed to play either! Should help weed out the cheaters.

I had a reply down below but figure I’ll put it as an comment to your post:
Idk if it’s mentioned but maybe meet in the middle and do a light requirement rather than an advantage. Like you can only enter Trials if you’re 970+ (that would be the new soft cap I presume). So it’s truly an endgame experience for PvP players to grind. This prevents 750 Smurfs like mentioned below and also prevents the super bounty sweats from steamrolling teams. I have a few friends on my friends list that are 1000+ like hello that’s absurd hours of bounty grinding. So yeah in all, make it 970 requirement, no advantage
