Bungie totally ruins IB again - thanks for “listening”
Yep, it’s IB time and Bungle drops a hot stinky one with the ever changing and worthless armor 2 quest for the season - the magical “get kills with weapons that you would never use” grind.
Oh, it’s all about “learning” and “growing” having to run up and die to get shotgun or scout rifle kills. But the BEST part boys and girls is that while your zone control and total kills are cumulative - you can’t “build up” credits for the weapon kills until the quest slides down the sewer.
So you are treated to having to the 10 rocket launcher kills after you have probably played 10-12 matches. How fun!
Yes Bungle, just spit in our face please after we complained about the ability kill bounty - now you put the worst garbage yet - you are dependent on special ( shotgun kills) and heavy ( rocket launcher) which we all know spawns like popcorn in matches ( Sarc is ON)
At least the grenade launcher kills ( the heavy of last season) could be done with alternate ammo types - but rockets? Fight for the spawn!
Yep - it’s not IB. It’s insane risks to get the kills time when you are not playing -you are chasing stupid quest requirements
If you had halved the weapon bounty totals or let them build as we played - I would have no issue - but this is middle finger to the players
So a hearty middle finger to the A-Team that dreamed this up. ( the team with the hole too - not the one that is good)

4 RepliesRockets are a stupid idea but the other guns are fine - I'm happy that they're pushing other guns - I'm so over handcannons and snipers. They just need to learn to stop forcing us to compete with TEAMMATES. I don't know why they do that...

1 ReplyI dont mind but that's bc I live in PvP. (Typically not 6v6 though) as for rocket launcher kills just use the death ringer on a cap point as the seekers I believe count as individual kills. As far as people complaining stop. This is a easy af quest. Just as much as I hate getting 180 kills with a scout in rapid defeats of 3 without reloading for these obelisk bounties I do them and stfu bc it's easy. As far as Bungie goes I expect better content than the dawning as well am I still awaiting the "season of crucible reworks".

And also WTF is this rocket launcher kills? I need ages to pick up heavy ammo. I cannot count how many times I died waiting for that ammo. I use to play all 3 characters but I’m done with one after this quest.

Additionally space samurai design. Control only. No new guns. The guns are shit bungie honestly, and look -blam!-ing dreadful also. What was once highly anticipated is now just a week long event for sweaty coonts and garbage weapons and armour.

I don't normally say this but the crucible team needs replaced. this entire IB is a giant -blam!- you to the playerbase. best we'll get is another instance of cozmo or deej giving us the obligatory we'll pass it along bullshit... in a month when the company goes back to work...

I'd skip it, but the armor is one of my favorite sets for Hunters. The quest is still terrible though and it shouldn't be required to get packages.

I didn’t even have any god rolled weapons to use for any of them. Git gud? For real it’s not that bad. You have a whole week to do the quests. You might even find a new weapon you like using? That’s the whole point. Stuff like this is why I finally started using SMGs.

Just make sure you have good rolls of various weapon types saved for these quests and you'll be fine. And rocket launcher kills? Deathbringer, Wardcliff, Truth... even Two-Tailed Fox is pretty easy. It just takes a little bit of time, and you've got a week to do it. Longer, if you consider the other three or four times this event is coming around this season. And what do you get for it? Some decent guns, but more importantly, enhanced mods. Those are certainly worth the grind.

6 RepliesI’m almost done with the scout part. I don’t like how they didn’t add any new weapons. Why won’t they? I don’t use anything beyond the swarm and the claws sometimes. The quest is kinda dumb imo. They just lock engrams behind Saladins quest. There should be a good reward for doing the quest, even though it is easy.

3 RepliesI literally wouldn’t care about the grindy quests if the armor and weapons didn’t look like Luke smith’s pubes. Remember how good d1 IB guns were? Clever dragon, felwinters, Nirwens, etc. the armor was also really cool to wear. Don’t pretend like IB was fun to play in d1, most of the time it was a maddening sweat fest. But the rewards were actually WORTH IT.

No new weapons and the same armour for the third time so what’s really the point? 4 pinnacle rewards? Won’t even get to max lore by the end of the season anyway then pass it within hours next season lmfao

Plus you gotta do the stupid armor quest if you want to get gear for your bounties...I unlocked the arms, legs and chest on my hunter. when I turned in 3 of my bounties I got 3 shotguns.....fml

3 RepliesBounties should reward team play and co-op, not selfish contra productive plays, just look at Gambit. Its like Bungie really like to support that type of behavior, yes screw all the objectives and rush and kill yourself for the sake of a bounty, that is just not how co-op games should be.

2 RepliesThe Truage gear I've earned thus far is all 55 and below stat rolls. My Iron Will gear from months ago was 59-63. And the Dawn mod slot is worthless. Imagine if you could only use Vex Offensive mods on last season's armor. No nightmare mods. No GoS mods. Completely -blam!-. I was halfway psyched that the season pass armor from rank 37+ had such high stat rolls, until I realized I probably wouldn't use them anyway because the activities I need high stat gear for most requires mods that can't be applied to the Righteous armor. Other than the lack of rewards, I think it wouldn’t be as bad if they switched up the mode to clash & just did away with the whole lock out mechanism.

5 RepliesI still maintain that d1 banner was beat simple because 1. Gear looked cool 2. You had to actually play the damn objective to win matches 3. Gear dropped as end match rewards and people kept playing for all the above reasons nobody I know come bk to banner because it’s now the polar opposite Iron banner gear used to mean something it was a halfway point for gear that meant you put effort into a match to get their it wasn’t quite pinnacle gear, I knew people with trials gear and knew they had to fight to get that gear. As with the cheaters for old trials gear you knew who they were cause if the ACTUALITY wore it in crucible they would get destroyed in matches

20 RepliesThese stupid quests to unlock the ability to use the tokens I’ve already earned by playing Iron Banner previously need to go. Until then, I’ll play Iron Banner on each character until I get the 400 bright dust each then that’ll be it. Got my Warlock done last night so 1/3rd of the way there.

Bungie has once again made me ask myself why I play this game, don't worry I'm sure they'll "fix" the problem they created in like 2 short years. I think this will be my last season
