Streamers.
Great dattos on twitter starting shit cause bungie decided to extend the window, FOR AN EMBLEM. Like jesus christ, a grow ass man complaining about a emblem. Like i get you got screwed out on the last wish raid but bro. And i bet bungie will bow to his feet because datto. Bungie needs to realize that these streamers arent the core destiny players, theres hundreds of us that sit silently while they screw the game up. Dont give in to dattos demends.

What they did wrong was extending the window without removing the contest modifier AND without announcing the extension until an hour AFTER it ended. This meant that before they changed their minds, there was a two hour window between 1 and 3 pm EST, that no one knew about until 4 pm EST, in which you could get Dive into Darkness without dealing with the light handicap of the contest modifier. It does not take a streamer’s brain or Datto’s brain to realize that it was an enormous mistake. That is common sense and anyone capable of the simplest critical thinking could understand that. Bungie revoking their extension of the window was the right move, and this is actually coming from someone who beat the raid in the extended window and would have gotten the emblem if they had left it. No contest, no emblem. Simple as. .

Massive disposable income for eververse cosmetics People who play 8-10 hours a day are absolutely core audience

5 RepliesBut he actually has a point? After 24 hours, the contest difficulty of the raid was turned off and now it's just normal mode. Why should people who completed it on normal mode get the same emblem those who cleared it on the contest mode did? It makes no damn sense and devalues the emblem as a whole. If Bungie extended the contest difficulty for two hours, sure, but they didn't and that's the issue here.

1 ReplyThe way they did the extension wasnt right plain and simple. Hundreds of players were at it for hours trying to get the day 1 emblem. Once the reset rolled in they were exhausted and disappointed and got off. Only [u]after[/u] that did bungie put out a tweet saying that teams that had completed it within a few hours of the reset would also be getting the emblem [u][b]AND[/b][/u] those teams had done it after the contest modifier was removed - making the raid way easier. Sorry but those players should not be getting the day 1 emblem plain and simple. They finished outside the time limit and without the restrictions day 1 teams went through.

5 RepliesI really don't care what all these streamers want and cry about. I do think Bungie should listen to other groups of players too. In my opinion they should invite an equal amount of different kind of enthusiastic players from different viewpoints. - Streamers - The elite / really skilled players - The average / normal players who don't play 24/7 - The bad players who enjoy playing but struggle - Solo players - Women - Players with a handicap, like deaf players for example - Console players vs PC players They make a game for everyone so they should all be heard!

Leaving lw out of this he has a point, people are getting the day one emblem without doing it on day one conditions. With that i mean that contest wasn’t extended so everyone beat the raid on “easy mode” so to speak.

Now Bungie just....change these rules out if the sudden a d showing them the finger when everyone of them is exhausted from raiding. Also, the stupid shitting on streamers has to stop. You all looked for guides for certain things on youtube at some point when playing this game and I can guarantee you that nearly half of the community here took these guides and used them for their advantage and progress on certain things. Because you wouldn't even know what to do in the vault for Outbreak Perfected, for example. You wouldn't know a god damn -blam!-ing thing. Let it be a quest guide or even one for Raids. And most guides are coming from the people everyone is hating on. No streamer is to blame cauz in the end(!) Bungie is the one who changes stuff. There were and still are times when even the youtubers and streamers are baffled by many of Bungies decisions...
