Im happy with this. I play PvP to have fun, I am not interested in 'comp' and comp is a joke of a mode that is basically there just to irritate me on a seasonal basis as I grind to get the needed 'weapon' because its top tier in PvE. Those weapons were making all other weapons in the game irrelevant, even exotics. All Comp should have is top tier cosmetic items to earn... like every other game that has a comp playlist.

Comp is the best mode besides showdown.

Thank you someone with a brain

I disagree. Never got a pinnacle weapon and I’ve never felt bothered about it. Because I’m not a meta clone. I play with guns I like. Not what is numerically best. Self made problems.

Edited by Codykins: 9/29/2019 5:49:50 PMI agree with you fully. The term 'meta', let alone people that use 'meta' weapons, disgust me nowadays. There's quite literally hundreds of guns in this game. Hundreds. People always argue that: "WELL IF THIS GUN IS SO GOOD, WHY WOULD I BOTHER USING ANY OTHER GUN?" and my response is always simple: "To get better, to have fun, to keeps things fresh.", because that gun will eventually get nerfed, as they always do, then the people will complain or act like a chicken with their head cut off using any other weapon they aren't used too now because they glued their hands to 3 single weapons for a year. One of my favorite 'off' guns to actually use, is the 'Rare' (Blue) Armillery-PSU Scout Rifle. It uses the same model as Vision of Confluence from D1, except with a D1 Red DOT OAS Scope (Arguably one of the best scopes from D1), and comes with Snapshot Built-in as a hidden perk (From the Scope), with Quickdraw, and High-Caliber Rounds. It even has the original firing sounds. Quite a fun weapon in PvP. I make it a habit to switch up my guns almost every Crucible game, and I just use what's the most fun in PvE.

My man. 👍 I’ll try that gun out.

I gotta say the vanguard pinnacle weapons are worth it. I'd advise you consider going for them at least just passively playing. Ignore me if you just meant pvp pinnacle

I can’t. I despise having a forced load out to earn a gun that I won’t use. It feels like a punishment. That’s why I don’t complain about them being good or kicking my butt some days in pvp. I put myself in this position, choosing to stick with my personal preference over efficiency. Mountaintop can be the best gun by a mile but I don’t like single shot GLs. At all so even if I had it I wouldn’t use it. I play to have fun and in a shooter you need to use what you really like.

Then by all means use what you want. I don't regret going for loaded question mainly because the dragonfly spec affects its perk and makes for some amazing explosions. Though I mainly only use it in raids. What do you run if you don't mind my asking

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 9/29/2019 10:00:49 PMOh I understand, some guns might not be your normal speed but have their uses. That’s why I did the loaded question quest, I like fusions and wanted a good one for when I need/want it. Breakneck, Badlander/Hanging Nail/Agrona PR4, Hagakure/Bad Omens. I carry them all the time and swap to whatever I might need.

Any recommendations for a good fusion? They never really feel like they do enough damage and the ones that do like erentil take forever to charge. If I remember correctly loaded question has the same charge speed as erentil but it feels much faster. Maybe I'm just fooling myself maybe not. Loaded question and jotuun are the only two I can use comfortably.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 9/29/2019 11:06:50 PMI haven’t gotten jotuun yet but the only two fusions i have are loaded and main ingredient. Backplan on Main makes it good for a quick switch blast.

But....... If they put nice looking cosmetics into the game, what would we buy from Eververse?
-
Because not everyone can get them. There is also called a balance between earnable cosmetics in game that makes the community feel like the devs put time into designing them, and cosmetics in the cash shop. There is a fair balance that can be made, what Luke Smith said is complete horsesh** and if he doesn't know how it works ... go ask SE. They mastered this in FFXIV to the point the community calls the true end game fashion in that game. (Its not ACTUALLY the end game its just the glamour options are so good that everyone considers the look of their characters so much there are even... RP player run maid cafes in the game)
