Let the grind mean something. Don't punish your veterans and force them to exit. As we get older we have less time to grind. Let us keep our stuff.

Destiny 3 will probably use a different engine, or an upgraded one, in every case Bungie will have to remake them in the new engine, this is not a simle transfer. Starting D3 with so much weapons would make the game quite weird. To be honest i hope D3 will be another big DLC or will be release in some years.

Edited by Inclement Karma: 5/15/2019 11:04:12 PMBungie: Items won’t transfer to D2, but your character will. Community: This is the greatest injustice in history! You can’t take our items! Bungie: Here are some of your cooler items back. Community: You lazy -blam!-, quit recycling items! You suck! Edit: tpyo

2 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 5/12/2019 5:28:51 PM
Bungie don't waste resources on reintroducing the same exotics in D3 let us keep our stuff.
This is not me hating on Bungie or anything like that, I'm just explaining what actually took place. It goes way beyond exotics knowing they didn't even bother to get actual feedback from the player base creating D2. In doing so Bungie literally wasted an entire year of time and resources bringing some of what D1 was into D2. Random rolls, changing weapon slots, etc...
Bungie has already been working on D3 as far as I know and their stubbornness is going to end up casing most likely the same issues instead of working on a game getting it to move forward, they will backtrack for the umpteenth time. 5 years and this company still have not learned that how they have been handling Destiny since D2 released and now working on D3 is not in favor of them and most likely will not be in favor of us playing the game.
Seriously, has this company lost their imagination that they constantly have to keep removing and bring the same exotics back? This is not a joke or me being sarcastic about this...
First, we hear from DeeJ and he literally said this. (" You don't want to use the same weapons for 10 years") and he also said that the same weapons will not return in D1 when they removed them. Well, as we all know, that didn't happen. Next, we hear from Deej something along the lines, "We didn't want you to feel your favorite weapons/gear have become obsolete, we could have gone a better way about it". Once again, that didn't happen because the pattern continued throughout D1. Then there is this, "We made things easier for us to put out updates on regular bases" or how they said they made things easier for the sandbox.
I could go on about a few other things, but what I'm getting at with all this is that Bungie needs to actually learn how to follow through with what they say and stick with it. This constantly going back on the word is a huge issue that ends up causing them to constantly changing things in this game leaving this game to never really being consistent when creating content. So overall, they need to stop saying one thing and end up doing another. If they are saying like Luke Smith actually said in D1 before Ttk released ("we have created a whole new arsenal") Then actually create a whole new arsenal and stop uing half of reskinned D1 weapons as they have in D2 and reskinned them god only knows how many times that it's ridiculous that we are keeping (the same weapons for 10 years to constantly get resskind.)

Bungie... Doing something to please players AND lessen the grind? We will never see this happen.

9 RepliesI dont care regrinding D3 if that is the FINAL game and they add on to it. Without Activison limiting it should be better. Also quests are required because handing stuff out is no fun
-
What they should do, is bring all D2 exotics forward right? But make it so one per account once a month you had to pick one. So you could choose any one of them to bring forward at a time. This way you have all the new exotics while drip feeding old exotics, and since thered be so many itd be semi fresh since everyone would be picking different exotics. Goes for weapons and armor.
-
Would definitely like to see at least some of the weapons carry over. The only problem is how it would work. There's no way they are going to let everyone take their entire vault with them. Plus its likely that the next game will come out on the newer systems which would mean they would have to go through and graphically upgrade every single weapon. Which would be fine with me because its better than just earning everything back for the second time but it just doesn't really seem feasible. Not trying to make excuses but I think that sometimes a lot of people in the forums tend to think that weapons and armor take a couple hours to create or its as easy to make loot for an FPS as it would be for a cell phone RPG.

1 ReplyI think they should give us the non-quest exotics and just lock them at the max level.
-
I am sure that they know that already. Whatever how much they spend on D3, they won’t get a penny from D3 release from me. Not for the first 6 months at least. I still think they shot themselves in both feet by not keeping D1 in D2.
-
3 RepliesWell Activision is out of the picture and so far they have been listening so you may get what you want even if you don't want it.
-
3 RepliesOf course we're going to lose our weapons again. The devs explained this and the zillion defenders who righteously decried anyone who went against it. The Single, Solitary, ONLY, thing carrying over is your character. This honestly shouldn't even be a question or request at this point. It should be a bullet point in a FAQ somewhere.

5 RepliesNew game. New grind. Burn this mutha down and rebuild it as something better!
-
1 ReplyNot gonna happen. That's how these games work. That's like expect the classes and guns to transfer in each Borderlands.
-
If i lose my outbreak prime for the second time, i am not going to be very happy.

Edited by DarkOverlord_9: 5/14/2019 12:30:13 AMBut how else would they pass off old content as new and sell it again like they did with the last word & thorn?
-
I know its unpopular but I am in favor of a wipe. However, to reward veteran players give vanity items or even unique power lvl 10 armor for those tough to get D2 items and triumphs. Have some items re introduced in D3 in whisper type dungeons. The chase for all new items keeps people playing and I think increases the playerbase. I am not saying wipe everything out, its good to have loyal veteran players. A company cannot survive on veteran players alone.

I've advocated for some sort of "transfer" of our stuff for a long time now; I understand that they can't (or won't) just port everything over and leave it in our inventory, but maybe do something like Collections, where a few popular favorites (or gear that's appeared in both games?) port over, and you can reclaim then with enough work. - The benefit here is that we get our stuff (so it feels like we're "coming back" to Destiny, as opposed to starting over), but Bungie can dictate how costly it is to reclaim from Collections. They could create a a rule where the first time claiming costs (let's say) 30 enhancement cores + x legendary shards (or whatever is in D3), and make you sacrifice a legendary weapon. Make it costly enough that each reclaiming is a "meaningful choice" (see what I did there?), but the players still feel ownership of their loot.

No thanks.a new game, new weapons.not the boring old shit we've already got
-
Old exotics have become the Selling point For "New" DLCs
-
I feel like the exotics should be the same as they are in d2 but they could take all our stuff but have quests to rebuild them or something so the fresh start can still happen BUT we still have what we have
-
And make story optional on other characters, at least short ones like Osiris’ I still don’t play my other 2 characters because I can’t bear to replay the atrocious writing...
-
2 RepliesThat's not going to happen. If anything looking at their current model they will make you have to do a restrictive mandatory quest for every exotic. Lucky pants you'll have to kill 1000 titans with headshots while the hand cannon is clinched between your butt cheeks and you're wearing nothing but your panties.
-
Catch me not buying D3 if they pull this shit again
-
I won't be happy till they fix this situation and return EVERY D1 exotic. We never should have lost those.
-
If they had not screwed over us veterans from D1 the player base would be a lot bigger than what it is now ...... regardless if they introduced D3 the damage has alreadybeen done
-
Then there won't be any grinding D3. I wonder how we will lose our items this time, Vault Hack maybe, lol.
