I recall a while ago I used to take new players and newer clan mates through raids.
Then as rng started rearing it’s ugly head watching player after player get the full collection as you kept getting the same weapons and armor for months.
Now you raid in kwtd groups and when a noob is tries to jump in the whole group chews them out and kicks them very happily might I add. Why bc raids have become tiresome chores of where we don’t get rewards nor do we have enough to use the weapons and items we want. We don’t have cores to infuse to use a variety of items.
some of us are older than 25+ and need to provide. We don’t have time to piss around like kids and pro gamers.

3 RepliesMaybe that's how it is for Last Wish and Scourge. I sherpa'd the -blam!- out of Leviathan raids especially Eater and Spire. It's not that you stopped being a nice sherpa, you stopped being a sherpa. Believe in what ever you want to about RNG, i believe in a decent Karma system, I help folks out in the raids, and my first EP farms i get the shotty after a coupe of runs and then another one for my hunter later on. But I'm not helping people through the raids to increase my RNG. I'm teaching them the raid in spite of all the KWTD posts because at the launch, none of us did. I want everyone to play and experience the content and lore of the raids. I wanted to help. Now sure people want to invest time where they want to and if rng -blam!-s you over time and time again, you have less time to play/teach/and enjoy and spend more time wondering when the -blam!- etc will finally drop for you. And dont want to be bothered. But just realize that the two communities are separate with very different attitudes about newcomers. There's a time to speedrun/crunch out raids and a time to help others. Hell you can do both, but if you're a dick about it, you're a dick about it.

Stopped running people through raids towards the end of D1. Main reason was because after a carry, they would always say "that's it" "that wasn't that hard, why does everyone say the raid is hard"

Everyone here acting like a white knight when we all know they thought and did the same thing

I’ve stopped sherpaing due to time constraints. The average new raider is so -blam!-ing dense it takes like 4 hours to get through a raid.

10 RepliesSo basically you don't want to help people because you're petty?

10 RepliesThat's pathetic, you've turned into bullies basically.

1 ReplySome would argue this is how raids are supposed to work, but at a cost of players. I have under 100 clears for each raid and yet I’m top 2%, even when I don’t raid for most of a season
