Bring the downvotes or whatever, but I feel I need to say this. I hope someone out there can make use of my positivity. I don't deny it's in a rough place but I enjoy the game and am looking forward to seeing more improvements and changes! The game certainly needs fixing in some areas but I still love it immensely!

You sound like someone not obsessed with power creep Great.
-
18 RepliesIts not that destiny 2 is BAD , but destiny 1 was so much better that you can't help but hate d2 because it kinda killed the superior game . This makes the game like 10 times worst , because the predecessor was better.

I played a fair amount of Gambit Prime and Reckoning today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It’s actually more engaging than the original Gambit. Over time I expect the serious, more organized groups may come to dominate it, but at this point I think it is a well done addition.

After all them nerds that just happened, how bout now?

I thought I was enjoying it for the most part. Forsaken was great. Some of the changes that came with it are awful decisions based on their summit. I tried to get a friend who left after CoO to come back, but after he got some loot and tried to infuse it and saw he had nothing that was required, he quit on the spot. He asked why in the world he’d want to grind for all those items just to use a weapon he liked. He said he should just be able to use the weapon he wanted as this is a shooter game. Can’t argue with that. I have virtually stopped playing. I used to play D1 almost every day. I had tons of friends who were always on. Now it’s hard to get anyone to even try to play for a little while. I’ve moved on to other games. Sometimes I’ll log on D2, but I either sit in orbit for a few minutes or go to the tower. But as soon as I land, I just turn off the game. Just can’t do it anymore.

3 RepliesRight up until Apex Legends came out, I would have agreed with you. I still like Destiny, and will play again in the future. But after playing Apex, Destiny feels like such a sluggish, slow and burdened experience. Especially apparent on console. Legitimately feels 'old' to me.

2 RepliesEdited by BC1 Edge: 3/5/2019 1:05:03 AMNot a response to your post... To those people who respond on the forums “we don’t care if you quit why are you posting this shit on the forum etc etc” those same people should be responding “ we don’t care that you are enjoying the game why are you posting this shit on the forum”

I love this game.
-
4 RepliesI dont like it and I could choose to list a thousand reasons why but Id rather just play other games such as Skyrim and Apex Legends
-
3 RepliesI’m gonna say something I highly doubt you’re enjoying destiny and there’s no reason to lie to yourself.

yeah destiny 2 is finally in a good place. then again d1 taken king was in a good place too. which really brings up the dip in the middle, which was there for no other reason than it could be. unfortunately that was a deciding factor for a lot of people (and most of my friends who did play the game). destiny 3 cannot be another roller coaster. the player base has suffered immensely because of how d2 launched. and if d3 repeats what d2 did, even if d3 gets fixed (again) there may not be anyone around to play it with at that point. and i will forever repeat untill it come out. D3 NEEDS A FLAWLESS RELEASE BUNGIE.
-
Nothing wrong with enjoying any game. I’m done for now, because I’m sick to death of Bungie’s constant changes to stuff that doesn’t need changing and doing nothing about stuff that needs desparate attention. I play games for fun, not go be frustrated over changes that ruin the experience for me. Quitting has been the best thing for me. It’s a shame this series will never meet its potential.

I hear what your sayibg. I just returned to destiny 2 after leaving pretty early after prestige calus. But coming back now on ps4 this time Round and not Xbox and having to start again has really shown me how much content there is now and I'm more than happy to grind it all out
-
Theyre not going to make improvements. They're going to shaft us from now on. Instead of us getting mid sized dlcs between massive ones, were going to get this "annual pass" from now on where they drip feed us content thats 1/4 of the size or what we used to get for the exact same price. I would be positive and have been playing this game since 0 hour of alpha, but man after you keep getting jipped then they fix, then jip you again. Ive just had enough.

2 RepliesStopped playing because super busy at work and came back recently as I still love Bungie games more than any others out there for multiple reasons. Clan has totally fallen apart and play solo. Just wish some of the progressions, missions weren't so cryptic. Maybe it's just me be being dumb but I have no idea where escapee Margsmallow or lost sector Shower Drain are... I work with computers all day and play on console, last thing I want to do is go look for "There's a video for that" for almost everything. So I get lost in the scenery, end up doing fun things that don't level me up at all, lol. Forever 400.

I also enjoy it. I can relax again after accepting that lunas isn't gonna happen this (last) season so crucible seems palatable again. My hunter has just got to level 50 and I have all of the DLC's to tackle so that's good, and even CoO can serve a purpose of making all other content seem better 😂 And starting a new character from scratch at this stage really shows you how much content there is to get on with...kinda forget the "journey" my Titan had been on but with fresh eyes there is an awful lot of missions and triumphs to work on.

7 RepliesI've been playing Bungie games since Marathon. It's hard to explain how niche and grassroots their origins are. I still sense the look and feel of the original Halo on Xbox in D2. The attention to the aesthetics of the weapons and the articulation of the NPC's all in beautifully designed worlds keeps bringing me back. Yes I play other games but for example Metro Exodus is bleak, too dark, ugly, and has wonky controls always has me running back to Destiny. It's also fun to play the latest installment of Far Cry but I always return after binging in games like that. This has been my regular go to game since it's inception. As far as the Lore goes I find it more in depth and interesting than anything Disney Star Wars or SJW Star Trek can dish out. Can a Titan own a Spartan? That I'm not sure about.

Can confirm, 470 hours and counting. Starting playing with hunter and had no idea it'll give quite the new feeling to game. Though no freaking way I'm going to grind all 40 sleeper nodes again, no, I love Mars, I like Ana, Rasputin is awesome, but just no. No. I better be running Strange Terrain Nightfall with no chances on success on getting Osprey, invading in Gambit, or playing competitive (with my k/d of 0.3, lol:D).

4 RepliesAs many mistakes and missteps Bungie had made with Destiny - Destiny 2, still got to admit that gun play in Destiny gives the most satisfied feeling ever. The headshot, recoil and sound effect feels just right.
Minus that ghose bullets bs that they put in before and nerfing stuff to oblivion, lol
Ever since this post went up, most other posts I see are positive and contructive in some way that isn't FIX YOUR GAME OR IM LEAVING. Its a really nice change of pace.
Although might just be calm before the storm. IE Jokers Wild
I just came bought Forsaken, I look forward to catching up on everything that I've missed and compared to other games these days Destiny 2 is a pretty polished experience.

2 RepliesI heard anthem keeps crashing ik that has to suck.
-
5 RepliesStill better than Anthem
-
1 ReplyJust completed everything Anthem has to offer in 9 days. Let me repeat, 9 days. Plus the game is too buggy to enjoy and I have had some hard frame freezes that make me fear for the health of my xbox one x. Looking forward to the SOTD and will be going in today to clear out vault. It will be nice to play a highly polished game again.

1 ReplyStill my favorite place for shenanigans!

Honestly, Destiny will always have a cozy little place in my heart, even if a content drought hits or some update comes along but doesn't quite speak to me. I love this game, and the friends I came to know. It's been fun. As of the season of the drifter: I'm not super excited, but I'll definitely hop online and be the same optimistic, bouncy hunter I've always been. (I'm also kinda curious to see if gambit feels any better with this new mode.)
