Hello Bungie, could you please give older weapons an extra trait and a mod socket. It kills me to dismantle older legendary weapons that clearly have potential and could be updated to be on par with current forsaken weapons. The way it is right now the loot pool seems a bit shallow and breathing new life into older weapons would help remedy that. I cant speak for everyone else, but I prefer a large variety of loot in a loot driven game. If for whatever reason a player isn't enjoying an aspect of a forsaken weapon they're kind of stuck with that problem, but if older weapons were updated said player could just go farm Mercury, Mars or wherever until they found a weapon they personally enjoy...they would have more options. Just out of curiosity I brought older weapons into the Blind Well to see if they still hold up such as Jack Queen King 3, Winter Wolf and Agrona PR4 to name a few and I had a lot of fun. Its just a shame to see all that potential wasted when for example I see the Conqueror 2 that has Kill Clip and its missing an extra trait that could give me Outlaw. This could be done, but in the end its your decision Bungie. I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of hate from the player-base on this, I hope not though.

8 RepliesHey guys, we are trying to get movie of the week and it would mean a lot if you could like the creation and get your friends to like the video also. It's a 2 man 3 phase SOTP boss kill Ps4. It's the servitor picture on the creations tab ( the one of the SOTP boss) Thank you very much and have a good day

Edited by VEXTERMINATOR-btd203: 2/3/2019 2:49:06 PMMaybe I could compromise with just a mod socket. Anything to make the older weapons compete with the new ones. Not outperform but compete. I have no problem using something that is a close second. A mod socket and masterworking I think would at least even the scales.

4 RepliesSolution to ugly armors- make a consequence free vanity slot. Let us put armor into a vanity slot, so we can look how we want and use the perks we want. I’m sure everyone can get over not being able to see what they’re using in crucible, and if it’s a problem disable it in competitive. Quickplay, though, is supposed to be causal, so I think it should be left there. For guns? I don’t want the old guns back. Why grind for a threat level if EP Shotty could get mods but for only 5% less damage? It’d be the Fatebringer dilemma, but with midnight coup this time. Why use the new guns if Midnight Coup was always around? I want something to grind for in the game, not just reuse old guns constantly. It’s a grindy game, and I don’t want to grind just to reuse the old guns (Etheric Energy was it? That went well). New DLC means new mysterious gear, with new fun stuff to grind for

Just pulled the Man O' War out of mothballs. I forgot how nice the thing was. I tested it against Crooked Fang-4FR and it seems to be better.

2 RepliesTbh Annual Skate is still one of my favorite guns in the game. I really wish I could put a mod on it
-
2 RepliesIt would be cool if they added a way to use materials to add perks and mods to older weapons and armor. I’m really sad I don’t get to use my solstice armor and never really got to

No. - Bungie

I still use my Service Revolver since it's a Kinetic 180 and there aren't any legendary ones in Year 2 yet.

602 likes! Wow, you have my appreciation everybody. If this is truly what you all want keep em coming. I thought this thread was going to peak at about 40 likes, to be honest.
-
still using the prosecutor would love for that weapon to get a extra trait and a mod socket.
-
Lets try to keep our focus on D2 year 1 weapons. This would be enough work to undertake by Bungie, let alone adding armor to the pile. One thing at a time. Thanks everybody.
-
I second that. Would love to get my Anniella up to year 139 standards.
-
This plus add some favorites back from d1, longbow, hung jury etc
-
All the Prophecy Weapons. It would be great to have them upgraded to the newest standards. * I’d rather have them retire all the year one guns and finally produced a bunch of new loot. Tired of getting the same loot over and over and over. The small puddle of random perks can’t make the gear interesting at this point. * A deeper pool of available random perks and an increase in the perk options for gear would make it more like D1. That would be a plus.

There's got to be a solution to this problem, there's just gotta be.

From the nerfs from supers and guns . and trees .

2 RepliesIf older weapons were updated they'd need to create two entirely different sets of weapons (one for people who haven't purchased Forsaken, and one for those who have). They'd also need to update the collections. Contrary to many posts I Y1 weapons didn't take mods. They only had a randomly selected perk that was enhanced if they were masterworked, and a shader. I miss a lot of Y1 weapons as well. But, the amount of dev work to make this happen is gigantic.

4 RepliesPerfect paradox
-
Mod sockets should work cause base game weapons used to have mods and can get mods too from banshee don't need to get a dlc to use them.
-
7 RepliesWhat year 1 legendary weapons would you like to see get an extra trait and mod socket. Open world drops only, nothing hard to aquire. Sound off if you want. Information is always important.
-
1 ReplyOr how about that solstice armor we hit to wear for a week?
-
I think weapons are ok, maybe adding the mods would be cool. But I wish we could upgrade year 1 armor to have random rolls. There were lots of year 1 armor sets that I really liked, but since they have no perks (especially scavenger perks and super perks like light reactor), they are obsolete compared to year 2 armor
-
Make it all worthwhile bump.

6 RepliesThis is needed but won’t happen. Just like every other great idea. Takes too many man hours to code up all these great ideas when the devs are done with d2 at this point. ———————————— “Sorry folks.
